Nothing against it just don't need it. Our 1st story stays around 76* when it is 90*+ outside. The beauty of having half a block house not to mention our valley usually has a slight breeze and we have window fans.

Similar for me. I have huge salt water 50 degree air conditioner on the edge of my property. The air blowing off of it cools the house if I leave the windows open.

The m59 lifts the dumpster of firewood. I was kinda surprised since it’s probably 3500 pounds. IMG_7659.JPG

Thanks gg someone local said the same thing about the way the wood dries. Wasn't sure if it was just an old wifes tale. Sure seems true in my case. I will try making it into 4 bays next year.

Not an old wives tail at all - when wood dries it shrinks. So the south side or the outside row in the shed gets all the sun. That side shrinks and collapses down so it starts tipping outward just like the sun was pulling on it. The longer and higher the row the more the top center tips out.

gg

I think it's closer to 2500 lb.

There’s 2 rick on it which is 2/3 cord or a little more plus the dumpster. It’s definitely heavier than this car which is 2800.IMG_7660.JPG

I’m guessing you already know but that’s the only unit of measurement used in my area. I found 0 people selling cords of wood within 100 mile search area. I found 38 adds for people selling ricks of wood in the same site and search radius.

We sell it by the cord here. Therefore everybody should do it that way. ;)
Actually except for firewood, most wood is now sold by weight.

I’d love to sell firewood by weight but it comes with a few setbacks. 1 is it changes a lot. 2 how much is a ton of firewood? 3, the free places to weigh a truck close at 3 and aren’t open in the weekends.

Yes I do, sorry was just having a little fun is all. So what exactly is a "rick" then? Is there a cubic foot amount or what exactly? I so rarely buy wood I only go by a cord, but that's me.
