I had an old iPhone 7, loved it. Always worked. Thing lasted me about 6 or 7 years. What killed it though was the charging port. Got to the point that it wouldn't hold a charge (or it would be charging and then not charge, but you wouldn't notice it).
I depend on my phone for work. I pretty much use it for storing and emailing documents when I'm on a job site.
After it was determined that the charging port was getting shot and they couldn't repair it, went to a iPhone 12 mini.
I HATE this thing not because of what it can offer, but because of the issues of not being able to make phone calls or sending texts. It's not often, but it happens generally in areas that I never had issues with and the signal is strong.
After my first complaint, they gave me a lower "G" network sim card. Yeah, it's 5g, but 5g isn't worth a crap in the country, and it turns out at least per the phone people, this was the major problem. Thing is, even after I had the sim card replaced, still have problems from time to time, and funny thing is the every so often the phone decides not to actually be a phone is when I really need to make a phone call for work and I'm on the road (again, exact same spots where my iPhone 7 would always work), but this phone isn't nearly as dependable IMO.
I'm documenting all the times this thing doesn't work and will be going in by the end of the year to see what they can do.
