Any update?
Yes,I got frustrated with this tractor and needed to work on something else so I didn’t ghost ride it off a cliff. So what I found was, my filter housing was leaking,I ordered all new seals for it when I did the motor rebuild,but the O ring that was sent to me don’t work with my housing and leak air like a sieve.So put a different filter on and I still get air in the fuel ,so must be the pump.

So what’s so hard with rebuilding this pump, do you need special testing equipment? I was thinking I would take a look at it and see what’s wrong with it. Worst thing is I will need to get a new one.

You really need to know what your doing. I have been around here 10 years or more. Only heard of one guy on here that successfully rebuilt his. Now they can be done. Thepumpguy has rebuilt several here in the last few years when they have been needed for folks on here. He offers a mail in type service on your pump.

After following along on the guy who did his, it's no wonder most people send it in. All kinds of small parts and intricate assembly of parts. If you have done one before or been into that type of thing, then you probably can do yours as well.

This is uncommon. I've been around on here a few more Yrs. than Clemsonfor and I think there has been but a few Inj. Pump problems. At least you found the problem or Pump problems. With that being said it almost sounds as if someone may have been in that one!! Don't get frustrated you got it!! It just boils down to Repair the Pump or Replace it. If it is Repairable? Personally I'd be hot under the collar also and it would be my luck that it even being so rare it would be mine that done it. I seriously would check into replacing it. Something Stinks!!!!! I would almost bet money someone was in that pump. JMO......

I am saying that I only remember one pump that an owner disassembled and fixed. I remember a few more pumps that had issues. Usually the rack stuck or something. But as far as ones that needed to be fixed, yes that number is probably in the single digits that I can remember.

I'm shaking my head now. Hands down if it was mine Replace it!!!! And really had to stop from adding a couple choice words for the pump... May have Pumpguy check into a replacement and then go through it and then you would have done all you can do. That would take care of it I would almost Guarantee it...

THAT pump is NOT a good one to cut ur teeth on.!!
Your best bet is to send it off.. & DONT open it up..
Hoye "might" have 1.?? but you'll pay more for it, than getting yours remaned.. {depending on WHERE/WHO u send it to.}
My "guesstimates" are for a pump that hasn't been touched by the customer..
If I get 1 in "bags".. the price changes..{lost, broken parts}
& if it was EASY, everybody would/could do it..

The 2210 Fredricks Refurbishes. My parts only show the bleeder Screw Assembly which that's not good. Only a hand full of models is on top of that which they do Refurbish also. They maybe who you need to talk to for Parts or Pump Availability. My guess they have the pump...

Seeing bubbles in the line doesn't mean much, most diesels will have a small amount of bubbles in the line, you will beat yourself to death chasing them.. Vapor bubbles are normal to see in a diesel fuel line..

But he is having runnability issues. We have confirmed it's not the first/filter assembly or the injectors (new ones). The only thing left in this system is the pump. If the thing is not running right, pump is off.. timeing or it's ability to make pressure.
