So why do those houses need a battery?

Got any idea of the cost of cleanup for radioactive waste in Washington has and will cost?

When the sun goes down, how do you generate electricity? When the wind does not blow, how do you generate electricity?

There's a place for nuclear, France runs mostly on nuclear. But some of the costs get ignored at the planning stage ....

Yes but we would be naive to think that solar, wind, or hydro has no cleanup, planning, or emergency costs. They all cost. All I am saying is Nuclear really isnt that bad.

Are you talking about singular installation or a common installation?

Are we missing the Washington State cleanup or are you not aware of it?

A lot (assuming that you are talking about the mess at Hannaford). Most of that mess however is from government and early commercial nuclear power and/or weapons research and testing going back to WWII.
How do modern nuclear plants with modern controls and standards stack up?
Why can't we have a reprocessing plant to re-use the "spent" fuel from current plants and reduce it's volume while converting it to something that has a much shorter span while it's dangerous?

Electric Jet boat ride in Kiwi Land...?
These boats are going to be converted to full electric

years back got to experience the Snake River- Hells Canyon in a dual 460 ford equipped Jet boat, this looks like a blast to and the boat driver has skills.
Be interesting to see how the all electric version performs compared to a couple big blocks running the pumps

That's part of the problem, spent fuel is presently stored on-site because nobody has put up the cost to invent a reprocessing solution. Storing the waste safely at diverse locations, perhaps for centuries with continual security, and the future transport and reprocessing, are costs that aren't necessarily recognized in comparing nuclear to other energy sources.

Yucca Mountain was proposed for permanent storage but that project is dead. Wikipedia says nothing is budgeted by Congress at the moment for alternate solutions.

IOW kick the can down the road for the next generation (Greta!) to solve. If they are smarter than us.

TeslaTap

I got to test my Tesla Tap early this morning at a new hotel with Tesla Destination charging station. They had two Tesla Destination stations and one J1772. It was all plug and play and worked like the J1772 at the Ford Dealership. The Leaf did not complain about a thing. The adapters are not free for sure but adds more options in areas short on EV charging cords. Amazon has a ton of feedback. It was a bit more but I went for 80 amp version that I think use #8 wire to the 220 volts.

Father-of-eight invents an electric car battery to take drivers 1,5 miles without charging it | Daily Mail Online
Ex-Navy officer turned inventor signs a multi-million deal to produce his electric car battery that will take drivers 1,500 miles without needing to charge

While I do not know what to make of this first link the second link I can grasp. In this end of KY I have seen a Leaf and maybe 5 Tesla option on the street locally and Leaf is the only $10K-$15K option for fully loaded used one like I was interested in for the first EV. Plan to add three more in time but knew I needed to start at the best value point that I could find that may be around another 5+ years.

Was watching a documentary on what a farce renewable energy is. Apparently there is another kind of nuclear energy (not based on uranium) that India is using, that is much safer but wasn't chosen in the west because it's not good for making weapons. That freaking figures! Humans! Sorry, the name escapes me.
