I'm a law abiding citizen and expect to be treated as sush by leo

I apologize. I didn't realize that EVER homeowner in the US is going to have a highly trained (with good money of course) german shepard barking behind their door.

Who said anything about a highly trained dog? Yes my dog is trained and yes I spent money in doing so, you take in strays and think you know how to train them but in reality you don't know much, you have proven that several times but you like to cause trouble, you take other conversations from years back and bring up things to cause trouble, that you are good at..

Maybe you have warrants and you worry every time someone bangs on you're door, I don't..

This is why having a castle doctrine is so important. How in the world can someone safely decide in a split second if someone will do you harm or not in the middle of the night when you just woke from a sleep. A castle doctrine simply says if they broke in you can and should automatically assume they are there to do you harm. I don稚 know how much people actually understand timing in attack but even the precious second you might have being wasted trying to decide could prove deadly for you. So not hav8ng to decide is the safest for any homeowner and puts the responsibility where it belongs on the dumb **** who broke in.

Sorry, kind of off topic, but something I was wondering about. May be totally different in the USA.

You should never allow LEO into your home, mostly because they can't be trusted. But what if you live on acerage, and they are already on your property when they knock on your door. How does that work? Can you tell them to go back to the road? And you will meet them to talk there.

As far as the law I don't know..

Why would you want to kick them off of the property? I have had them stop here a few times and talk about my tractor or dozer or whatever.. I don't get into trouble so I treat them like anyone else, I know they aren't looking for me..

I watch livePD once in a while and the LEO's act and do things differently depending on location and what they have to deal with on a daily basis, the LEO's here don't act or treat people like they do in other places.. I also watch the wardens in TX, ME and NH, the Texas guys treat people the way a LEO should, the other two not so much...

Your question is actually right on topic... although it may start the thread on that slippery slope to that oxymoron "Friendly Politics" where many of us disdain to tread.
If you don't want a law enforcement officer on your property now, who are you going to call when you need their help later?

No, I was just curious where the demarcation point, if you can call it that, was, if you live on a sizeable property, as opposed to say, them knocking on your condo door. There, you have the choice, unless they have a warrent for your arrest, whether to let them them past the threshold or not. Similar, to "giving" them permission to search your vehicle, which you should "apparently" never do.
