Advice on buying cheap tractor to grade driveway

Another old tractor that is on my bucket list is the old Red Farmall Cub, or the models slightly larger. Just cool looking tractors to have around. Good condition ones can double as a parade tow vehicle if you are into that.

My uncle was in love with the Cub. I think he had 4 of them when he passed, along with all kinds of attachments. He had one set up with a belly mounted grader blade that he used to maintain his forever-long driveway. I wish I had been able to get my hands on one of them. They probably should have put a cub on his headstone beside the bronze star.

The only issue with the Cub is that it doesn't have a 3 point hitch. I've looked around but haven't seen any kits like what are offered for the larger Farmalls. They are good machines at what they were intended to do though. That is why they sold so many.

Interesting. I just sold a late-80s B8200 4x4 with loader for $4800. It was rough, but I got it running well. No power-steering and crash-box transmission. Not for everyone.

Once you have HST and PS, it is hard to go back.

My b8200 pulls a 6' box blade on my gravel driveway decently. Turf tires, not loaded tires and no chains.
This tractor is like driving a Cadillac compaired to the fold 851. I have never owned a tractor with hst.

lots of these old tractors have maintained driveways for decades
