Not advocating for vigilantism at all. Just saying that crime is out of control and the courts, jails and prisons are full and even the heavily militarized Lawdogs can't make a dent in the problem.

If tough on crime doesn't work then you must find out what goes wrong with society and fix it where the problem is made. Probably much cheaper to do than lock up people in great numbers and over very long time. Social services, better schools and cheap/free education is one way. Reduce poverty is always a good thing, poverty is root to all kinds of problems. And prisons should try to educate and rehabilitate those that have taken a few bad choises.

Our (Canadian/Ontario) leaders have stolen billions from me (Joe Blow Taxpayer). They never got in trouble, and always make out very well for themselves and their friends. But some guy steals your chain saw and he is considered the scum of the earth. That label would be more appropriately applied to our leaders.

None of your links, or anything else that I've read support your claims. All that you are doing is parroting his defense attorney's claims, giving no consideration to the other side of the story. Besides, I actually give them credit; I never believed that he would be taken alive. Try reading about his own comments to his friends, before anybody even knew what he had done. He killed Corporal Cole because the guy had arrested Williams' girlfriend for driving without a license. How depraved is that?

the emperor has decided that bail for thieves and other assorted scumbags is not fair,
so even illegal aliens and career criminals can't be held in jail or required to post bail,

Of course he was a scumbag. You are supposed to be innocent until proven guilty in a court of law in front of a judge/jury NOT in the woods with 5 LEO's..
I remember when this was going down we talked about this..
