How to pull all four tires from John Deere 3R tractor

As others have stated - use TWO jacks when raising the rear.
Here is a shot of the black jack centered under the rear drawbar hitch and the grey one [smaller] was used to stabilize.
[2x4 on the left was to level the ground]
When I did the other side, I moved the grey jack to the other side.
I was installing wheel spacers on the rear at the time.
[those yellow things are Pat's hitches, circa 1999 - they are on their THIRD tractor...]
Yellow helps me not put a shin into the 3 pt in low light - they do nothing to keep me from walking into them in full sunlight....

I would be sitting it down on blocking under where the ROPS is mounted.

Yep, that was plan A, but the cab version [at least] didn't have the clearance for the jack.
Now that I have added extensions, I should be able to block & load.

I once bought a 90 HP tractor FWA with ag tires that were loaded. It tore up the ground terribly on even mild turns and I couldn't wait to unload them.

Do you mean the front tires were loaded?

A FEL on a tractor adds much more weight than loading the tires.

I wonder if the gearing might have been the problem more than the loaded tires Six?

Front tires were 12.4-24 and were loaded. Rears 18.4-34 and were loaded. Bought it from a guy that needed stability on the slopes of mountainous New Hampshire. It was a Kubota M8950 and those loaded tires on the front tore up the ground so bad it looked like it was plowed and that was in 2WD. 4WD was much worse. It had a loader, too, but I rarely had it on. It may add more weight but the loaded front tires were a challenge to deal with.

Seems a smaller size would only be the same thing in a lesser fashion.

Sounds like a design/gearing problem maybe? Trying to push the front tires during a sharp turn. A lot of geometery involved there. Fluid would certainly make that worse.

It was a big Kubota so I don't think a design problem. I just think the massive weight of the tractor, aggressive and loaded ag tires and a loose nut behind the wheel (me) is a bad combination. Since other tractors with same tires and same things didn't rip up the ground, it has to be the weight of the front tires. When I took the fluid out, and agreed no more fluid ever again, the chewing of the ground lessened dramatically. That's the origin of my distaste for loaded tires in a non-severe slope situation.

Never load tires. In fact I bought a used machine with loaded rears and promptly drained them. No need with cast centers. NEVER load the fronts, Never.
