Which trailer to buy?

Nice. I致e been looking for a 10 or 14k trailer for a while and I haven稚 found anything that痴 not beat to crap and almost retail price. Come spring time and I have more use for one I値l probably buy a new one.

Good trailers here are far and few between also. Four of my tires are like new. One of them is brand new. The spare is good for a spare only. I think the deck boards are Oak. It has a Kobalt bolt on toolbox from Lowes on the tongue.

Check out Fayette Trailer in PA. They have a few closeouts on the JP 10K 7 x 20 with a beaver tail for $3990.00 at their western Pa. store. i was going to go down to the Northeast store on Saturday to buy one but they didn't have any in stock there. Friday night the guy with the Hudson texted me on his trailer and we worked out a final price before I even saw it.

I didn't know this. I bought my trailer brand new in 2004 and it has the original tires on it. The tread still looks brand new on them. Sometimes it sits for months at a time, other times I'm pulling it every day for weeks at a time. Longest I ever go is probably 30 miles round trip.

What really kills tires is being exposed to the sun which causes them to dry out. Salt will also do a number on them. I have had tires for many years on a woods truck I owned and they lasted over 10 years. They were not new when I cut the truck up into tractor size. My FIL had some really old tires on his 1964 Scout that I bought him back in the early 70's. We finally sold it in the 1990's due to rot with those same tires on it. We did store the Scout in the barn. Maybe today the rubber isn't like it used to be and they rot away by themselves.

I found a good deal on a Hudson 18 foot 10K trailer for $1600.00 yesterday. It came home with me. If I need a bigger trailer I can always recoup my money on this one to buy a bigger one.

Hopefully, one of these days you'll have your tractor back from the dealer so you can put it to use!

Tire (aging) life is directly related to the amount of sun exposure.
If you store your trailer inside (I do) you should expect to get 10 year life.
If outside, maybe not much more than half of that.

Thanks on the trailer deal. I'm no longer having any high hopes of getting my tractor back any time soon. I'll say that it is a gut feeling. I think it is time to move this Teir IV POS out of my life. I would love to see internal memos at Kioti as to why they decided to update the NX series tractors after only 2 years to a new style injection pump and different injectors.

That trailer appears to have house trailer wheels/axles.
If so, they are rated for a very limited life usage.
