Hows it going everyone?

About 6 months ago I bought a clunker Link Belt 1600 Quantum with a lot of hours. It runs great but has all the original hydraulic lines.

I was digging a trench and when going in reverse the hydraulic line for my right side track started spraying fluid. Unfortunately the location of the hoses is impossible to get at to remove the fittings. I had a service company out here today and even he couldn't get at these lines because they are right under the boom. What tool should we use to get these things off? Would crows foot wrenches work? Is there any way of doing it without sending it off somewhere and having them remove the entire boom?

I am including a photo and I put a yellow dot where the fittings are. Thanks for any advice in advance.

A flare nut wrench would probably be a better choice than a crow foot.

Did check those out but couldn't find any large enough. I believe the size is 1 1/16th" which converts to 27 in metric.

Is the part your trying to spin on the actual hose? If it is you can get a long chizzle on an air hammer and start by tapping it loose.

Your pic is prety bad so hard to say if a crows foot would fit.

Sorry about the photo. Here is one of the lines. The one I need to remove is in the back but at this point I think I will try having them all replaced.

I would start with cleaning it up. You have to anyway, to prevent dirt entering the system. You might have to take the hoses in the front off to get at the rear one.

There is the common open end crows foot, the 6 point flare nut crows foot, and the 12 point socket type crows foot. After a good bath, you will be able to assess the situation better.

Snap On, and probably others do make (or have made) crow foot flare nut wrenches in your desired size. I found one on eBay but it's almost $30.

I've got 14 piece set of angle wrenches 15/60 degrees 3/8 to 11/4 in Bought them just for those situations. Like the others have said probably have to take others off to get to the one you want
