17 right now...high in the upper 20's today.

Looks like a pretty good snow storm moving in tomorrow through Tuesday. This is a real bummer since I'll be heading to Connecticut Monday and won't be returning until Thursday night. I'll have to see if my neighbor would be willing to plow (or blow) my drive and rake the roof. To make things worse, the snow forecast in CT is worse then here...

good morning all. Lot of rain headed in tonight and tomorrow, what is going to dump snow on folks North of here.
went to bed too early, up too early, hope this will get back to normal in a few days. I get "off my feed" when I travel.
I might go out and get a christmas tree this morning, if it's going to rain all weekend, fun thing to do inside.
Trees in front of supermarket are 35 bucks, Boy Scout lot where I'd prefer getting them is $65. Too much for me for something I burn up in a month.
So off to Lowes or supermarket today to see what they have.

Washing machine running, about to cook some "natural" sausage for breakfast, though anything that comes in a box is suspect.

I can only imagine what David would pay for a fresh cut xmas tree in Hawaii.

Morning all. 21 here going to lower 30's. Need to finish my second cup of coffee and get started on making sure everything is ready for the up coming storm. Looks like I'm in the heavy area. (6-12 inches forcast) Will go out in the yard and remove anything that might catch in the snow blower.
Need to top off my truck with gas. Tractor is ready to go, just need to plug in the battery charger to make sure it is up to full capacity.
Still need to help the neighbor remove his mower and install his snow blower.
I have my chains all cut and fitted to my rear tires. Don't think I will use them as the ground is still not froze enough.

Thanks for your support of our memorable Thanksgiving Day. Everything is much better. I even did a little Black Friday shopping while at the vet: bought a bottle of Skunk off shampoo. A little pricey, but she said they use it on dogs brought in with skunk smell and it works. It will be nice to have something quick-ready on the shelf if needed. She had never heard of using Massengill douche, but my telling her did prompt a small smile on her face...and I gave proper credit to having learned about it on a tractor forum. My son saw the "white" skunk in the yard while walking his dog Thursday night, so I need to get back on patrol duty. Our yard now looks like it has been aerated by an implement with very large cone shape pluggers.

I have one son returning to Long Island later today so we were watching the WeatherNation channel last night...looks like you New England guys are in for a good one. Hope it's not too bad.

Drinking last cup of coffee for today. 34° with cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 36° with afternoon rain. Got a few things done outside yesterday. Mostly cleanup from Wednesdays storm. Plan to get Christmas tree out of storage and put up today. Neighbor brought a whole plate of Thanksgiving leftovers. Best part was homemade pumpkin pie. Took pictures of their backyard lights yesterday evening. It can be seen from the road that runs in front of my house.


Phil, can you drop by and help get snow blow on my mower. No rush we are forecast to get only rain today. Good that you can help your neighbor. :thumbsup:

Wngsprd, hope Coco is healing and not stressed out because of the attack.

Drew, Knights of Columbus sell Christmas trees in DQ parking lot. They start at $80. They do sell all that they have long before Christmas.

Roy, may be a good week to take a vacation.

Looking, I like snow. But it gets awfully tiring by the time it all melts in the spring.

Don, being oldest gets easier every year. :confused2: Glad you had a good time.

Buckeye, glad you made it home before storms.

Good morning! 71˚F gusty warm misty wind from the South and gloomy overcast skies. If it ever clears out I can start putting up Christmas decorations - I know after Thanksgiving is RNG approved and I agree. Some neighbors have had theirs up a month.

Drew that $35 tree sounds like a bargain. Lkng4nw I would also welcome snow even though I have no equipment to move it it would just stay till it melts.

Question? Is it legal to decorate a city streetlight?
