Friends of ours lost their 4yr old daughter in a tractor accident. Riding in the cab with her Dad and unlatched the door and fell out. He ran over her. That was 30 years ago. My heart still aches for that family.

I started driving an open station tractor pulling a square hay baler when I was 7.

I don't believe in bubble wrapping kids or people. Having said that, my father doesn't put much (if any) effort in protecting people or animals in his care. I almost did get hurt or worse a couple of times. So, there are extremes, one way or the other.
