I briefly considered insuring mine when my dad almost rolled it off in the creek, but I decided it's cheaper to just not let him on it...

Lol...

My homeowners insurance covers theft, storm damage, structure falling on it, etc. I briefly considered insuring mine when my dad almost rolled it off in the creek, but I decided it's cheaper to just not let him on it...

I asked if my homeowners (USAA) policy would cover damage to/loss of a tractor valued at 32K.
No dice!
USAA will not even sell me a specific tractor policy.

My dad could not do anything bad with my backhoe.
He has been lying in a hole dug by a backhoe for 35 years.

When I do road trips out west I have a dual sport motorcycle in the bed. I had liability and assumed theft would covered under the truck while on these trips. I went that way for a few years until I asked my agent one day and they said nope.

Of course I take the key but that's close to useless. I do my best to park it out of sight but that's not a fail-proof plan. I really need to come up with a better anti-starting interlock.

Is there a spade-connected wire on the back of your injector pump like my CUTs always have/had?

If so, can you disconnect it or discreetly reroute its path to a hidden switch?

Turn the fuel valve off? .. Disconnect seat switch or another (in 'start circuit path') that's easy for you to reach, but not obvious? (clutch, range select, etc.)

Do several/all suggested  but don't forget 'em.

Fingers crossed that you never get nicked, and that 'failure to start' , if nothing else, will be enough to prevent it. :)

"Disconnect seat switch"
That might even be a more serious violation than removing mattress tags.

Really........now who would do a thing like that?

For me though, a reasonable idea might be to disconnect the seat switch jumper.

Does your TLB have a seat switch? Mine doesn’t. It’s got a switch that verifies the seat is swiveled forward though. You could cut the tab off and then you’d have to manually push it to start it.

My L48 has an original owner jumpered wire under the seat.
I have not tried to start the tractor with that jumper removed.
Can't check that until May now.
I just assumed that wire was start circuit related.
