There are two questions I would like to ask. The first is to ask if you are happy with it?

The second question is how much weight the rear links will comfortably lift? The books say 2500 lbs and I will want to lift a 1200 lb seeder with it. Can I do it, assuming front ballast, etc. The tractor, cab and weights up front weighs around 4000 lbs with operator on it.

I ask because I ran across one that I might be interested in but it would have to lift that 1200 lbs. It won't drive down the highway with that weight but just operate in a flat field until the planter is set down and then driven back to a barn. What do you think?

I've had other tractors supposed to lift a given amount of weight, and they would, but you couldn't drive 20 ft because the tractor was so unstable with the weight on it. Any advice appreciated.

Not sure what you mean by "unstable".. as you say you will account for the added front weight for counter balance, so what is "unstable" ?

Firm rear wheel tire pressure would be needed.

Just the tractor bouncing around and feeling awkward/scary on turns like it want to roll over, even with air pressure up. Not feeling like it's firmly on the ground. It's a small tractor with 1200 lbs on the back and even though it has the weight of a cab is still only 4000 lbs. I can only add 250 lbs of front weights.

Won't happen with the JD 3520, IMO

I have a 3720, so I guess I can't answer you questions

1) Yes, very happy with it.
2) My ballast box weight almost exactly 1000 pounds and it handle it well, that's the heaviest thing I have. You should have no issue with that seeder.
3) I added 2" rear wheel spacers to mine, only because I plow (snow) a lot in the winter for older neighbors with hilly driveways and the cab makes the machine feel a bit tippy-it's not the weight on the rear. I also filled my rear tires with windshield washer fluid.

Thank you KennyD--that's great info I can live with.

By the way, I love the quality and functionality of your bolt-on hooks, etc.
