How does it work on 4" of wet snow in a 200' gravel residential driveway?

Just added these trailer jacks to my new 3PH snowblower hoping it will help with gravel driveway. I couldn't find anyone else that has tried this so not sure how this will turn out. Think I am going to put a pipe on cutting edge as well. If I do I will use plastic pipe or conduit for proof of concept and vest in steel later if goes well.

Will be interesting to see how long the hard plastic wheels on the jacks last on frozen gravel. Hope to see some pics or video of them in use.

I have them on my front mount blower for the Kubota BX2230. They work great for staying off the gravel, but can lower cutting edge for concrete/asphalt. But they will leave a little extra snow when going over a bump and cut a little more in the low spots. ie, the pivot/resting point of the blower changes with the trailer wheels mounted on the back of the blower. Best would be on the sides at the cutting edge, but then they are in the snow. In the 3 or 4 years I have only broken one wheel when backing up and drug the blower backwards. My wheels will not pivot all the way around to allow for rolling. Jon

Just an idea Take the wheels off and install a large skid shoe. Easy to adjust and large enough to not fall into the low spots. Make it so that it cannot swivel.
