They vary in price, but this is the outfit I'm looking at and their prices by model:
Google: Big Little Tractor in Idaho.
I'm looking at something between the 1601D through the 2200D. I have small acreage (2-3) so I don't need anything huge. I just need something to move dirt, till, and maintain berry orchard rows.
IRQVET,
Big Little Tractor is pricey over the other Yanmar imported and refurbished machines. Since you are in WA, did you look at
TractorCo.com - Thorp and North Bend, WA - Offering New & Used Tractors, Implements, and Equipment Repair ? They de-badge the Yanmar name-plates as an agreement not to infringe on Yanmar Co legal rights, but they do keep the YM-model number circle on the tractors. They paint them Mitsubishi blue too. Not sure why. The good thing is, ROPS and the additional safety hardware is there. That's a BIG PLUS, even if you should re-sell down the road. They have a much bigger inventory to choose from as well. Many of their machines are not the odd-ball models either. The Hoye website for parts talks about certain models to stay away from because parts are rare or scarce.
Also, should you come across a Yanmar with a B, A, G, D or other letter after the model number, these were not the regular rice-paddy tractors, but were made with options for Ag requirements in different cropping needs. Not much to do with the engine really, mainly where the controls were, levers, more instrument gauges and such. There is a Japan historical Ag foundation that is Japan gov sponsored. It has many of the tractors there. I read it from-time-to-time to learn what all this means. Using google or Bing translators is fun at times too.
FYI, in the database from the Yanmar Tractor Owners Group on the GroupsIO site, the YM models, the FX and F models utilized the 3T75 & 3T84 engine frequently. Not only that, but the higher ended Yanmar US models use this engine too.
AND, any YM model ending in 00 is a no thrills 2-cly engine that typically my 1995 riding mover with the V-twin engine can run circles around.
YM models ending in 10 or 20 mainly have the Shuttle Power-Shift. This gives you the ability to have a 'live' PTO in certain shift selector ranges. Thus, if you are ever mowing and need to reverse, you don't have to hit the clutch, spin down the mower to a stop, back up and then start over. Nope, the Power-Shift allows the PTO to spin in forward, uses it's own neutral and then reverse.
The letter D at the end of a model means 4WD.
If you found a YM1720D, it has the 3-cly 3T75 popular engine just like the US models, has 4WD, and
OE power steering. A co-worker bought one from Fredricks. It's a gem overall. Should I ever need a smaller versatile Yanmar this would be it hands down. 20Hp engine with 17Hp out the PTO. BTW, the 3T75 engine code is this, 3= cylinders, T= Inline 75= 75mm pistons.
The Yanmar FX series is durable like the YM. The F series, depending on the model are very rare birds.
Now, with ALL THAT SAID, the nice thing about the YM models, they have green siblings. And those green parts from the John Deere 650/750/850/950/1050 fit our YM machines.

Why? Because Yanmar made them and painted them JD green. These are the YM model JD green machines. Need tractor weights, go green. Easy to find. Need a 3pt top link or draw bar at the right length and end sizes? Go green and get it locally. Or even at your local Ag Co-op or feed store or even Canadian Tire.
Can't do that easy in a Kubota arrangement.
This is a small list of the Yanmar machines in JD green. I've not seen an updated list yet. These are YM and FX series for many of them.
