In a recent thread someone was looking for a nice place to live. SC met met most of his criteria until it came to humidity.

Yeah, it was humid in Texas and Oklahoma too.. WAY better than snow in some places I lived. colorado was dry even though it rained almost everyday, resided there for a while (did not consider it "living") was glad to escape to humid South Carolina!

Aside from the issues of wheels and legs collapsing, do the magnet sweepers WORK? Are the magnets strong enough to pick nails out of grass? I've lost quite a few old nails from my shed project while demoing the old tin roof and I'd really like to find them with something other than mower or tractor tires.

I got the magnet without the wheels, better for rummaging through grass and gravel driveways than the wheeled ones..

A couple weeks ago I bought one of their 30" 4 draw to.ling tool boxes. Came in about 50 pieces and poor directions. Took about 90 minutes to assemble and it was then that I discovered the lower draw had dents on the front of it from the wheels that were shipped inside of it banging around durring shipping.

So, have you taken it back or are you just bellyaching?

One reason I would not buy a HF model. I have an old 5000W Generac and added a dual fuel 7500W Champion this year. It is imperative I have power so a second unit is worth the investment. I also have one of the HF 900W units and it is actually not bad for less than $100. It is a pain to need oil/gas mix for it but it runs well and does the job.

For me, the money saved by not buying a good quality unit is not worth it. But even my "cheap" Generac has lasted 20 years. Saving a bit of money on something that may last 20 years is foolish. But I do not run them much...maybe 10-20 hours per year as I do not run them continuously during an outage and I do not get many outages.

If I needed to run 100+ hours a year, I would have likely bought a Honda. Choosing comes down to your expected usage and how critical your power needs are. A "cheap" unit can be all you need, and having a spare is not a bad idea.

After my experience with a Honda motor (throwing a rod) and the no warranty for it, I'd say the Pred genny is as good as at a much less price. I have one, starts firet pull or on the battery and has for years, delivers power when I need it and best part was it was less that half the price of a Honda. After the rod through through the block Honda issue with me., you couldn't give me anything that says 'Honda' on it. They blow.

I have 6 Hondas and 2 of them are over 25 years old. Never had a problem with any of them. The one on my log splitter is the homeowner version. That has over 1000 hours on it now and runs great. The only predator engine I have is on a small water pump. It works great. I would probably replace one of the Hondas with a predator if one dies as long as it's a direct fit. I would be more likely to change the oil more often with a predator engine.

For anyone interested in the 5 drawer cart, this is the last day for this coupon and I dont see it being this price again. Just picked up one in blue. I wish my other 2 were the newer style, they are way nicer!

Also the 20% off coupon will work on the side shelf for them. 2361_ITEM_30___5_DRAWER_MECHANIC_S_CARTS__RED__BLUE___BLACK__1556966681.0941.jpeg
