... Dynafile, it takes the same belts. If you can get the free span belt arm with just the idler at the tip (lower right), you can do contors on butt welded tubing to where you can't tell where the weld is.

That's the one. If it will fit on the HF one (or Baxter offers it), it really makes a difference. That's my default for the Dyna, I have other things for flat sanding.
For round stock, getting between pickets on railing, and taking out inside seams on tubing, they are a must have.

Thanks. So, it's similar to an ordinary belt sander with a flexible metal plate under the belt.

I wonder why they had foam rubber under the belt on their previous model. I see a couple of the one-star reviews showed experience similar to mine.

"within 15 minutes of relatively light use, the rubber roller on the end of the sander started shedding pieces of rubber and its radius diminished to a point where the belt was no longer tight, and slipped on the drive mechanism. Also, one of the rubber pads inside the sander nose unit came off. It wasn't glued on well originally or the adhesive holding it in place failed."

Folks, pay a little more to get the Baxter!

Got the new cart put together, this is my third one but the second one I bought is still in the box, my other 2 are the first gen style in red. Figured I'd go for the patriotic theme, just need to trade one of the red ones for a white one day!

I really like these boxes, well built and versatile.

FredH, Forgot about this post for awhile; wanted to say that I finally found my challenging leak and got it fixed. At least for the last few weeks anyway! Ended up changing out the check valve (after I accidentally found out it's proper name) and viola my constant leak vanished. My smaller Husky is working just fine again - now. Just updating on my leaky issue. Greg

Nice, I have the red one.. 3?? why three? seems like a bigger box would do better.. I like that side shelf, I use it all the time!

I use them to hold the tooling/fixtures for my lathe, mills, etc. I have enough tooling and measuring equipment now that its easier to keep them in separate boxes by the machines.
