Grew up an Eagles fan in SE PA and now a Texans / Cowboys fan in East TX. I don't like the Patriots either. However, the number of head, offensive, and defensive coaches that learned under BB and who are now scattered throughout the league is just amazing.
Look at Mike Holgram (sp?) and the Green Bay packers.
Now that the eagles got knocked out, I'm hoping Kansas City goes all the way due in part to Andy Reid. Personally, I thought Reid was let go prematurly by the Eagles because philly fans really can be buttholes LOL.
As a kid, there was just something about cheering for Bill Bergy at the Vet with my uncles and cousins and seeing ALL the fans just pissed off at the Birds that overrides my logical feeling about watching sports.
I actually respected the heck out of Tom Landry and liked the cowboys as a divison rival, but after Jerry Jones came in an ran a clown show, lost all respect for the cowboys (for some reason the Redskins and Giants always got under my skin more than the cowboys LOL). Not that it matters to boot, but the way the head coach of the Texans left his college team to go to th NFL to the Texans, I'll never cheer for a team he will ever coach, even if it were to become the Eagles.
All that said, for the most part, sports does not control my life nor do I really care to contribute to a multi million dollar salary to a guy who plays a sport for my entertainment. There really are more important things in life than watching guys follow a ball.
I go online to some sports forums, and even online, it's (college sports) is a HUGE business. Dawned on me that sports is ONLY a money maker for most people who push the product.
The money is what women's and soccer is trying to tap into to get MORE $. It's all about bucks at the end of the day for anyone promoting anything.
