All of these latest pressure cookers (no matter the catchy name they give them these days) can't do anything more, than what my 21qt. American Canner (AC) pressure cooker can also do. (actually we have two AC's)
Long before the "instant pot" came on the market, I was sitting a small kettle in my AC and putting meat in it, to pressure can it into what ever I wanted. Any recipe you can do in these electric pressure canners can be done in any other pressure canner too.
The new style canners aren't any safer either, as my AC has a few built in fail safes, just like the instant pot does, what the new canners are, is a lot more convenient. Basically, set it and forget it. Meaning you don't have to adjust the fire under it to keep the pressure you want.
Yes, I do have a electric canner, mine is the "Power Pressure cooker" brand, and I do like it, it's easy to use, but like I said, it doesn't do anything "new".
One thing that is nice, my AC will work with any heat source, including on top of my wood fired cook stove, and that's nice when the power goes out!
