When using burger, unless it is very lean, we drain after browning then throw everything back in the pot.

I'm in the same boat, like I said above, I bought a Power Pressure cooker too and I've used it quite a bit.

I like to 3/4 cook meat in it, like ribs and then sauce them up and put them under the broiler, to brown them up and get those burnt ends!

I do my BB ribs in the IP ... then 3-4 minutes under the broiler with some mesquite smoke BBQ sauce.
