My wife is still Leary of the IP. I do the cooking in it. I think it’s a ploy to get me to cook.![]()
Well, kinda
I can set my AC on the stove, turn the heat to where I KNOW 10 pounds is, and walk away. I guess I've used it enough to know HOW to use it, so for me, pushing the button really isn't something new.
Another thing, there's NO circuit board to crap out in the AC, and it works on EVERY heat source, but I do understand that folks today are uber lazy too...

No SR, just getting uber old . . .![]()
I wonder if using a chain saw instead of a hand crosscut saw is a similar analogy to being Uber lazy? Or an electric chainsaw, don’t even have to pull the cord to start it. Or maybe Uber lazy are those people that use an app to get an Uber ride so they don’t have to walk? Some serious thoughts to consider in a thread comparing IP with CP (crock pots).
In any case, an IP is a nice tool for quick cooking. I can still use a Dutch oven on a wood fire if needed.
I think it's more like this:
Dutch Oven = Land line phone
Crock Pot or Pressure Cooker = Flip phone
Instant Pot = Smart phone
They all work and get the job done. Some do it easier or add more options.
That is definitely the case here. "You bought it, I'm not going to figure it out".My wife is still Leary of the IP. I do the cooking in it. I think its a ploy to get me to cook.
That's why you couldn't even give me one... I won't ever have a glass top electric stove either...Your AC will not work on my Induction cooktop.
