I agree, I would have no use for that bucket. I paid H&H well over a grand to make me a 12" bucket years ago, and that can be a pain for cleanout. Seems I rarely take off my 24" bucket.

The footer is 24" wide and 3' deep so that's why i figured it would be easiest with a 24" bucket. Then after the footer I have to take a foot of topsoil off the entire thing which is going to be a proper pain in the *** with anything but a 24" or larger bucket, and it's going to be quite a bit of dirt being that the garage is 1056sq ft.

Thanks, KC. No need to dig it out at this time. I went online and found that Ace sold the Red Dragon brand that maxed out at 500,000 BTUs. Harbor Freight had one on sale at about half the price with the same rating and I bought it. If that one doesn't work out, I'll get back to you.

Looked at mine, says it's 500,000 BTU and it has a 2.5" bell on the end, brand - not sure purchased about 10 years ago.

I guess you could ask. If you got it out with propane and it took a week, is that working?

I think it took a week because that’s how long it took him to get to it. I’d put my money on a 500,000 btu propane torch vs a smallish rosebud that a homeowner is likely to have anytime. Sure it’s not as hot but it’s probably 4 times the btu and that’s what counts.

I didn't mean that in a derogatory manner at all. I mentioned before, I have a friend that is always fussing around with a propane torch. He too can't devote much time to working on stuff, having a real job. So it takes him a month to get the nuts off his tractor wheels, whereas if he had a real torch, it would be a half hour job. Done, finished. On to the reason he wanted to take the wheel off in the first place.

One thing for certain, I bet the OP uses his grease gun more frequently here on out..............

No, just looking at myself. Humans forget pain and the association between cause and effect really quickly.
