Good Gloves?

I don't think I would want to use those for handling firewood or moving hay bales. I don't think they would keep your hands very warm when it's 0 degrees either. My hands start sweating inside gloves like that after about 5 minutes so I can't wear them very long.

I wear them working wood whenever the temp is warm enough. Cheap, last as long or longer than a good pair of leather ones, thin enough to even do nut/bolt without removing. They do sweat a bit when breaking in a new pair but I don't notice that afterward. I even patch them with gorilla tape when a finger wears a hole. they are on the "don't give them up without a fight" list.

I wear Kinco Thinsulate leather and cotton, 1927KW™ LINED PREMIUM GRAIN PIGSKIN PALM WITH KNIT WRIST - Kinco(R) and keep at least 5 usable pair on hand all winter. On a snowy day I used to soak all 5 pair before going home, but either the winters have changed or I wimp out earlier in the day now. They don't last very long, sometimes the stitching starts to pull out within a week; but they are the warmest that I have ever found, and I like warm hands in the wintertime.

I have large hands so have trouble finding gloves. For cold weather up here in Maine I finally found (and bought) 2 pair of Carhartt insulated weather gloves. Sturdy, warm and wide. By the way, I don’t like gloves that let the inside pull out with your fingers when you take them off.

I just buy cheap jersey gloves and trash them quickly. I prefer a new pair of cheap gloves often rather than expensive dirty gloves that you have to keep because they were expensive.

Gloves I hate the most are those white knitted ones, popular and used in auto plants. WTH?

Same here in both statements. I'll have to look again at the Carhartts...last time I tried them I couldn't even get the XLs (which was as large as they had at the store I went to) on.
+1 on the liners coming out. PITA to stuff them back in too. :irked:

That is the problem that I have also,
I need a 3x minimum and they are extremely difficult to find,
have the same problem with boots for mud and slop, try and find 3 or 4E in a pull on tall rubber boot.

I think these Chinese made gloves run small, think they make them to fit their hands and haven't converted to American hands yet, I dont wear XXL shirt but on gloves that's what I need.

I bought these White Ox Rigging gloves April 2019. I'm still on my first pair. I usually go through work gloves about once per month or two; cost doesn't seem to matter. These gloves were recommended by the Essential Craftsman guy on YT.

Nothing like hanging a wet pair of cotton gloves near the fireplace, so they are comfy, dry and warm. Leather gloves just get hard and brittle.
