Does anyone know the top speed for a Yanmar Tractor?. Asking for a friend who wants to make sure he doesn't need to upgrade his headlights...................

I thought I had it YM2000 8th gear 14.90 Km/h or 9.25mph........

I doubt speed and light is the concerns of those discussing upgrading the old lights. I think there concern is being able to see better when working in darker conditions.
For my part, the discussions regarding the 5000K and higher lights and being able to light up a mile away or much less important than less super bright lights and being able to see with 30 or so feet of where I am working.
LEDs of the 2000-3000K are plenty for that. A big added factor is low amp draw as most of that draw will come from the battery and not the dyno unless that has also been upgraded.

I lost where we were. Did we ever determine what's the new and improved bulbs fit the Yanmar sockets.? :confused2:

No improved bulb to fit the Org. Socket that I recall. I'm heading now to tractor supply to see if they have a Org. bulb as we speak. Even getting that maybe a toss up!!! I'll Post back.

The Tractor supply employee went out of his way to actually find it in the store and he finally did. Were in the store did he actually find it at I don't know? We both know it wasn't were you would think checking a couple places so I give him credit!!! It showed online they had 1 and so did their Parts. My kind of Serv..
The Org. Bulb showed 12V 35w/35w. Have it in my hand. Hoye I believe was 12V 30W/35W. The new TS. Bulb shows 12V 25W/25W. Here's the thing the TS. 25/25 is quite noticeably Brighter.

Interesting. So is there a difference in brightness (hi-lo) considering its 25/25?

Now that it's Dark and I wanted to check the lights and the Fredricks bulb I have in the Tractor. It was real dirty and surprised having the rubber boot cover on it still. Esp. the connections Cleaned it up and that helped. Still not as bright as the 25/25. No# on the Fredricks bulb or Wattage but I have the Receipt and they say LB-4155. Looked it up 12V 35/25w. While I had that out and in my parts book they also Have a LB-4151 12V 25w/25w also.;)

Might be the filament location, further forward for a shallower, wider beam. Further back for a longer narrower beam

Or possibly a Severe Application version with a thicker (but less bright) filament, to resist vibration damage.
