They are actually the ones who pointed it out, they said that if it causes a problem to bring it back and they will cut it apart and weld it back together again in phase.

You can always use it for now and then get back to them to fix it when they have a bit more time.

And the fact that the two joints don't function at the same angle indicates that regardless how it's welded together it would never be "perfect".

A year from now you will have forgotten all about it. :)

Driveshaft Angle and Phasing - YouTube is always interesting to see why phasing & alignment matters. I assume most commenters know at least some of this, but other people reading may not.

A good video, I have seen it before, that was one reason why I had started this thread.

And in the video he displayed the problem with one joint running straight and the other at an angle. Even if they are in sync.

I've built a lot of drivelines. First priority is to get both joints running at the same angle if you can. If you cannot, then add a CV to compensate.

I'm guessing whatever minimal driveline vibration your setup might experience could be caused by either of the situations you have. :)

Glad it appears to not be an issue.

The yokes holding the joints should be 90 degrees from each other.

I think you need to add some clarity Eric, so there's no misunderstanding.

Thanks for that video. I've read many times that the driveshaft angles should be the same but never understood why, until watching that video.
