Are there any refrigerator companies that make a reliable fridge anymore ??

As efficiency demands /requirements increase. you will see more inverter appliances. The A/C market is seeing such a change.
Just like emissions on tractors, new efficient appliances are here. And changing to inverter driven appliances to meet those efficiencies is a fact of life

well, too many appliances /things wouldn't be compatible

Well, no it doesn't.. Some A/C units come with different decals / name plates. You just install the one you want, or sold the customer.

An inverter refrigerator is basically where the compressor is running as a frequency drive. Variable speed compressor, so rather than the compressor running at full speed it would run at whatever minimum speed needed. So the refrigerator needs control of its own inverter. If you have multiple inverter appliances, one could be running at 100% while another at 25%. So it cannot be a whole house setup.

Never heard inverter refrigerators before but looks like they been out since 2010. So how many ways are there to build a fridge, at least three.............

It seems a refrigerators efficiency would be mostly due to the quality of gaskets and insulation. I guess a compressor starting at a low frequency would draw less inrush (wasted) current but I do not see how maintaining a more accurate temp in the fridge would save energy. Given the same compressor efficiency of course.

an inverter would run lower HZ than a conventional unit. A normal compressor runs at wide open from start to end at 60 HZ. while an iverter unit may run continuously at a much lower HZ. Or it may shut completely off

Much like my inverter driven A/C unit. Most of the time it runs continuously at about 18HZ. to prevent any spikes in temp. change.
It will occasionally shut completely off

I bought a GE fridge/freezer in 1999 and am still using it. It has shifted house 5 times. Sick of looking at it. Might get a new stainless one some day...

Scan the receipts too, a lot used a soy based ink for printing and after a few months you just have a piece of blank paper even if kept in a dark place.

Had one of those the other day. I just went into Harvey Norman and asked for a reprint. Only took 30 seconds.
