The new rangers are completely different than the ones Ford sold in the USA from 1965 to 2006. If you have the new version of them, please comment on on how you like or dislike it. Or if you have any questions about the latest, greatest version of the Ranger, feel free to ask us owners..

These new Rangers are very similar to the dimensions (H,W,L) of the 1978ish F150. The cabs have more room, but a shorter bed. The bucket seat style makes it more of a cockpit feel compared to the bare bones spring bench seats of the old trucks.

Very nice! What does it say your average speed is?

Now that is hysterical.
I have reset it a couple of times and it always comes back to about 35 mph.
I guess it's accurate but most of my driving is 55 mph except in my subdivision and around some of the neighborhoods.

It could very well be accurate that it comes back the same. Unless you are on a trip with lots of freeway driving, an average person tends to drive the same roads, to the same places. Same grocery store, same bank, same pharmacy, etc. My average is somewhere around 30 no matter what vehicle. Your 24.7 mpg mileage is very good for an average speed of 35 mph.

You got that right. We got rid of a 86 f-150 just a a few years back but man-o-man, this new ranger sure is in a different category from that machine.. The new Ranger is not really a small truck.

You guys are better salesmen for these than the guy I talked to at my Ford dealership. I don’t need what passes for a full sized pickup these days... too big for my daily uses, yet not heavy duty enough for a dump body.

We find our ranger whatever version it is (XLT, I think) with its 6ft box is bare minimum in storage capability. Its just long enough to hold XC skis or all the junk we take with us when working on trails and camping. Yet the truck is still small enough and to conveniently drive around town and get groceries. What can I say? If you have the new Ranger, please comment on on how you like or dislike it. Or if you have any questions about the latest, greatest version of the Ranger, feel free to ask us owners..

Here is a reasonable good video of the 2020 ranger.
. He got over 20mpg at interstate highway speeds.

I hear ya. My current, and previous trucks were both Dakotas...just the right size for what I need. The full-size trucks are way too huge.
While the likelihood of me buying a new truck are somewhere between slim and none, it'd be interesting to see how these new Rangers stand up over time. Haven't driven one yet (nearest Ford dealer is 40 mi. away), I did like the Colorado I drove and think it's a better looking truck, though the gas mileage doesn't seem as good.
I figure the Dakota's good for another 5 years or so, I'd be looking for a 5-6 y.o. used truck next time around.

Is the Ranger a new design, or is it a foreign truck tweaked for the U.S.?
Also, are they available with a split bench seat? I really dislike the huge consoles they put in vehicles these days. They just make the interior feel claustrophobic without really serving any purpose.

That guy is a bit of a tool. He's lucky he did that well running 85 octane gas.
