Comparison Kioti CK2610HST vs Kubota L2501HST : what am I missing?

That's for the old loader Kioti CL2610. The new CK2610 now comes with the KL4030, which destroys the Kubota loader on paper (lifts 1839lbs at max height, vs 1131lbs for the Kubota).

Have to disagree with this. The published lift capacity for the KL4030 (which I have on my CK) is not given at max height. It is 1,835 lbs at the pins at 59.84 inches.
KL4:( Loader | Kioti Tractors

I haven't seen a published lift capacity from Kioti for the KL4030 at max height. Not sure why they don't give that, since they do for the predecessor KL4010.

For the Kubota L2501's LA525, the published lift capacity is 1,131 lbs at the pivot pins at max height, and 1,490 lbs at the pivot pins at 59 inches.

So, if we compare the two loaders at the same nominal height of 59 in/59.84 in, the difference in lift appears to be about 350 lbs.

Ha! Just saw that Mangler already posted essentially this same data a few minutes before I clicked send.

Can anyone comment on the durability of the assisted power steering system on the Kubota? It seems way more vulnerable with those steering links at 45 deg out the front of the axle, vs the large tractor steering on the Kioti with hydraulic cylinders coupled directly to the steering knuckles.

I have also read that older Kubotas are prone to steering box issues, with stories of water contamination, accelerated wear and loose steering plaguing older machines with this type of steering linkage. Not sure how relevant this is for newer machines (they may have improved water sealing) but the Kioti seems to have the more durable steering system here.

Figures don’t lie, but liars figure.
Mahindra does it with their no DPF claim and some tractor mfgs play with the loader specs to deceive unwary buyers.
Kubota supposedly keeps the manifold pressure for the FEL hydraulics at 2250 psi but it can be increased to 2500 psi which increases the FEL lifting capacity an unknown amount.
But extra capacity puts increased strain on the front axle, FEL arm components, tires, etc.

I'm not aware of steering durability problems on Kubota's L series tractors, at least I haven't noticed this in threads here on the forum and it is Kubota's best selling series. Maybe long term after a *lot* of hours Kubota's steering box may need serviced or replaced I don't know? Kioti's hydraulic steering cylinders may as well. I recall one slight annoyance someone posted that when driving his Kioti across a hill he found he needed to make slight uphill steering corrections as he went to keep going straight. I don't know if that was a fluke or it it's typical of hydraulic steering?

I believe the steering cylinders on the CK's are behind the front axle but also a little below it. The steering rods on the L 2501 are in front of the axle but higher than the bottom of the axle. Also there is a heavy steel plate guard in front of the steering, although at least one L2501 owner here reported his tractor somehow came w/o the guard installed and his dealer charged him for it. My thought is they removed it to install the loader then forgot to install it but if you do decide on an L2501 make sure it is on.

Funny you mention the corrections required on the Kioti steering, I just finished a thread where a CK2510 was complaining steering was "touchy" at max speed.
I did notice the guard plate, which should prevent most impacts to the steering links on the L2501. Definitely comes standard, not paying extra for that :)

And your opinion ranks just above a 3 day old turd.

Really grown up response!

Let痴 just ask then, if my neighbor does as you are suggesting and something breaks or his tractor flips are you going to cover the cost of damages?

Your “opinion” doesn’t count when something breaks and they void the warrantee, does it?

If the tractor was delivered with the psi 300 psi lower than rated pressure and you boosted it 300 psi to be at the rated pressure your warranty wouldn’t be void.

Yes, this is very interesting. The difference seems to be smaller than I reported, comparing apples to apples.

L2501 loader is rated at 1490lbs (59" height, at pins). KL4030 is rated at 1839lbs @59.84" height, at pins. Still a significant 350lbs, but nowhere near the 700lbs when you misread the numbers. With willingness to play with hydraulic pressures on the Kubota, they may very well be close. But I would not want to "adjust" anything while under warranty, so I consider the 350 lbs a real advantage for the Kioti, off the lot at least.
Interesting. The KL4010 and 4020 loaders are quoted at full height and I am pretty sure the 4030 was quoted at full height at one point. Does anyone have a KL4030 loader manual with full height specs?

It really does not matter because who would want 1800 lbs 8 feet above their head?!?!? Yes, I realize that 1835# at full height means more than 2000# at a lower height, like my trailer bed height.

Here is a video of a guy stress testing his KL4030 loader. Not recommended.

What is the pressure supposed to be at?
Why isn稚 it there to begin with?
What is the loader supposed to lift?
Lifting more than it痴 rated at is definately a reason to void a warrantee.

I don稚 know anyone who pushed the pressure up on a kubota but some years back one of the neighbors bragged how he adjusted the pressure on his JD and how much more he could lift since. I wasn稚 able to get it completely back into proper shape after he twisted and broke it so now he has no choice but to chain it on.
