$1.21 where is that? GasBuddy shows cheapest gas in Monroe MI @ $1.85
1$/gal. gasoline? Maybe, but what does it mean really?

I just bought gas for $2.05. That probably doesn't seem cheap to most people, but this was in western New York where the taxes alone are over 70 cents per gallon.
I worked for a gas station on the NY Thruway when I first got out of school in the early 1960's. At that time regular was 23.9 and premium was 26.9 cents per gallon which was about 5 cents higher than the stations off of the Thruway.

$1.69 in Nixa. I always quote Nixa as being a nearby town for prices as Branson are always high due to the tourist trade. Branson is all about tourism and seperating them from their money. There really isn't much else in Branson. Gas here in Branson is $1.98 So as you can see 32 cents higher. This is the normal "delta".

I can't make any sense out of gas prices. Last spring & summer, we had some of the lowest prices in the state (for that matter, the north east) around here, this time around they've hardly budged since the price of crude dropped. Cheapest I've seen recently is mid-upper 2.20s, only down a dime or so from before (this not counting rewards card discounts, etc.).

Ouch..... that still would have been $1650 to fill my tank.
The good news for me though, is that natural gas came through a while back, and I grabbed it.

Who's your supplier? Cheapest I've seen listed online is a couple places in the Portsmouth area for 1.99.9.
CN Brown is generally the cheapest here in the north country...they're still $2.29.
