Came across a deal on a new CK 3510 HST that was too good to pass up. So I pulled the trigger. I added a floormat, 3rd function, double set of rear remotes, tooth bar and i was still under budget. But I need to double check to make sure it will not exceed the weight limit of my light duty custom double axle (#3500 axles) which is #4800.

Tractor + loader w/ 60" bucket + filled rear ag tires. = ?

For the HST with the 3rd function & rear remotes added I am going with #2800. That's #66 over book specs. Do I need to add more?
For the loader w/ 60" bucket, the specs say about #959. Beet juice in 11.2-24 @ 75% fill is about #255 each tire.

So, #2800 + #959 + #510 = #4269 + full fuel = about #4333. I have about #467 remaining IF BOOK SPECS are correct and IF I ACTUALLY wish to push my trailer that far into its rating. Does the total weight sound about right? Anyone actually place theirs on a scale?

Secondarily, I may only fill my tires to 50% by placing the valve stems at 3pm/9pm. I have some steep slopes and need low center of gravity. Any merit to only filling Ag tires @ 50% to reduce my COG even more? Or is more weight on the wheel a greater factor?...even if the additional weight falls above the center of gravity? I would say the actual vertical height distance for the COG would play a large role. Obviously this is variable since it changes with height of loader and attached implements. This could be a geometry exercise. thoughts?

My rears are full / beet juice / it weighed in a 5030 - 66 bucket / R4's ROPs

ok. This is valuable info. I see you have the se. they are listed at #2921 in the Kioti literature. I am going to calculate with that number as the tractor weight.

So, the rear R4's are listed as size 15-19.5 which correlates to about #310 of beet juice at 75% full. The KL4030 w/66" bucket is listed as #981 in the Kioti literature. If I replaced those numbers with my previous numbers in my formula we get: ##2921 + #981 + #620 = #4522 + full fuel = about #4585 max for your 3510 (diesel = 7.1 lbs/gal). Your actual acurate weight of #5030 is #445 more than published weights . That is about a 10% difference which happens to be statistically significant for me. Somewhere the published tractor or loader weights are incorrect?

I wonder if I am over #4800 and over my max trailer weight? I can always rent a trailer.

Personally I think you will be fine. When in doubt, download the Cat Scale Phone App, Register an account, then load your tractor with full diesel onto your trailer and drive to nearest Cat Scale and weigh:

1) Tow vehicle+Tractor+Trailer on the scales
2) Tractor by itself

You may find you have room for an implement.

I believe you will be fine - and yes I believe their specs are a little under - I'm not sure if they account for a "full" tank, or hydro fluid etc. or tires that are over 75% maybe (80+?) they fill them to what they feel is close / correct, I did not see any real measuring device used. I know mine must be over 75, as the valve releases some fluid when checked (valve at 12). Nor do they account for a 100+lb cutting edge, tools, drawbar/pats quick hitch set up etc etc - it all adds up - mine was a quick weigh in, basically to see who was right - I did the same thing you did, added up with the charts, actually came up with around 4700 - I asked my dealer what he thought and he said he'd bet a lot closer to five - he was right..... But again, I was not checking for "factory" weight I was interested in what my actual use weight was, with the edge, quick hitch, tools, fire extinguisher etc etc......

I know of 2 local scales but had not any idea a remote App like above existed. Many thanks!

Very good points. It does all add up. I like to be prepared and don't need any trailering issues. Many thanks Brk!

So I used the Cat Scale today.

F150 + trailer + tractor = #11,620

Then I unloaded the tractor and drove it solo onto the scale.

CK3510HST
KL 4030 w/ only 60" bucket
3rd function added at dealer
2 rear remotes added at dealer
R1 (Ag) tires filled ONLY 1/2 way with RimGuard
Full tank of diesel

#4300. Thought it would be more but the Ag tires hold less fluid and filling only 50% makes a difference.
Guess I should have reweighed but it was busy and I did not wish to hold up the truckers any longer.
My original estimate was #4333. I was under by only #33.

Congratulations on having your pre-weigh estimate come out so very close to actual weight. Only 33 lbs difference. Amazing. And looks like your F150 should handle the entire towing load safely. It's also nice to see the Kioti weight specifications are accurate. Thanks for the feedback.

Cat Scale was a good idea. Many thanks. F150 pulled w/o an issue. My main concern was about the trailer since I could only load #4800 on it an stay within spec. (could probably do more but I like to be safe going up and down some steep Pennsylvania mountains). Tractor + trailer + welded wire rolls should be total towing about #6600.

I will note that going down some mountains the weight of the trailer/tractor pushed me a good amount. I used my towing function and my engine braking helped but some steep parts it really wanted to push me. I know thats minimal for some of you but that was a good amount for my light-duty f150. If I were towing #8600 it may just push me too much in my light-duty f150.
