It’s all kind of surreal. We are on this lock down for Corona Virus and I’m trying my best to keep the kids “insulated” from the outside world while helping with meals, cleaning her bed with my wife, etc.
Having a dying person in your home with all this corona junk is a little overwhelming. Pouring rain and cold here today....
Can’t wait to just farm again and be normal.

We did the same for my mother 5 years ago. She died from cancer, so this is my second time to the rodeo. My mother was an angel. She took care of my dad while he was sick and passed. It was an honor to do everything I could for my mom. Now it’s my wife’s turn, with the help and support I can give

Supporting my wife while her and I take care of her dying mother. It's gut wrenching.

That is an overwhelming task. May God give you all strength and encouragement to continue and grace throughout.

You guys don’t know how appreciative I am for those well wishes.
I know what my wife is going through since I went through it.

During these times helping someone can be as simple as a phone call. I have a friend that's living by himself and is used to going out for coffee as his social life. Now while there is no coffee row every couple of days I get a 30 to 45 minute phone call.

Our church since we haven't had church in over a month, is organizing so that every body who wants gets a regular phone call. It's just a way to stay in touch.

There is also an app for your computer or phone called Zoom that makes it very easy to see and talk to each other at the same time. I'm sure there are other apps too but this is what I'm familiar with.

A group from our church has been taking a meal to feed our local women's shelter at least bi-monthly for a couple of years. Normally we have prayer, serve them, if any left - we eat with them. Strange taking that meal to an empty room and letting them know when we have left.

STAYING HOME, self-isolation

It's not a requirement for me (like it is for some), but it is a GOOD idea. I have enough chicken feed and dog food, gas & diesel and groceries for a week at least, so my 20 minute trips into town are going to be as infrequent as possible.

I think I will e-transfer some money to a single mom friend who is struggling with her employment shutdown
