Toilet paper

Corona was regular price locally, the last time I went into the grocery store.
I wonder if people reaiize that they can make their own ice? In summer I like to keep a couple of gallon jugs of water in the freezer, in case I decide at the last minute to go camping.

Going through the periods without extended power and the threat of earthquakes the old 1967 Amana freezer has several two liter bottles with frozen water plus I have some of the ice pillows used for medical shipments...

A full freezer will last a very long time in the garage without power...

Seems toilet paper shortage is worldwide... at least in the Europe from those I know.

From what I hear the penalties from going out are also more severe.

A new word in German is House Arrest... those that are older are using the term a lot... home and garden confinement.

The funny thing is that there are warehouses full of toilet paper; it's a delivery problem which keeps them from getting it out.

Daily almost non stop semi trucks at the grocery store I frequent... if anything they have more deliveries.

I typically would pick-up the hospital order at 6 am opening and be just about the only customer... and got to know many of the employees.

The last couple of weeks the parking lot is half full at 6 am.

Instead of 1 register there are 3 or 4 open.

One thing that has not worked out well is senior shopping hours... manager said no way to enforce it.

The bank new one customer at a time inside does seem strange... the entire teller counter is behind plexiglass and with positive pressure and employees with gloves... sure seems much safer than say being a grocery store cashier?

Why on earth would people be avoiding Corona beer?

I used to have a neighbor who drank Corona beer. I tried it once, and if it wasn't the worst tasting beer I ever tried, it was definitely in the running. Obviously a lot of people like it, but I wouldn't drink it if it was free.

As for tuna, we don't eat much of it, but always have a few cans on hand and mix it with a little chopped onion, chopped tomato, pickle relished, and Miracle Whip to make a pretty good sandwich.

Spam isn't too bad, sliced and fried, but I haven't bought any in a long time and have no plans to do so in the future.:licking:

I didn't know that they still made Spam... except for what keeps filling up my mailbox. I don't eat a lot of tuna but keep about a dozen cans on hand, divided between each truck with some in the house. (I keep 2500 calories of food along with 2 gallons of water in each truck)

Not only that, but Spam is really heavy on the salt.
My wife makes the same sandwich you described, also good with potato chips inside the sandwich!

Spam is big in Hawaii... I know that from nurses I work with...
