2014 Cabela's LM35H - Electrical Issue - Help Needed

That was why I asked my question as there are two different styles of fuel solenoids those that energize to run and those that energize to shutdown,
they have different wiring and control means.

Wasn't aware there were both kinds used for various applications. Never thought they'd do a either or....interesting. Still learning.

OP may have wrong controller for the stop solenoid or vis-versa. That's why an accurate diagram to his serial # would be gold... :confused3: Way to hang owners Cabelas.

So.... no $h!t, there I was.... basically a year and a half later.... and wouldn't you know it.... it did it again! I've since replaced the wiring harness, but it's back to the Fuel Shut-Off Solenoid maintaining a charge (hot wire) after the tractor starts, it heats up and will smoke, but I have learned how to disconnect it like a pro (well..... amateur).
I admittedly do not possess the electrical skills as many of you in this forum, I am learning much of this on the fly.

So backing up, I am not sure if I said it previously or not, but.... THANK YOU!

My intent is to spend some time trying to figure out the issue this weekend, the tractor has been down for nearly a month since this little electric gremlin reappeared.

Thanks again, and any ideas, suggestions, names of mechanics would be greatly appreciated!

Could this be a bad key switch?

I don’t know details, but just asking/throwing this out there:
Don’t some solenoids have a “pull in coil” (high amperage) that moves the fuel valve and then a low amperage “holding coil” that only needs to hold the valve open?
If the “pull in coil” circuit doesn’t stop pulling in and continues to draw amperage does this eventually let the magic smoke out of the wires?
Would these coils be operated off the key switch (“start” vs “on”) or some type of relay switches?
:2cents:

What was so wrong with the design Deere and others had in the 70’s? Just pull a cable to shut off the fuel. Tractor stops.

Top left of the third picture looks like a melted wire connector ..... Maybe more electric problems than you think .....

Has anyone checked the ignition switch to see if it痴 faulty?

Put an on/off switch on the power wire to the Fuel Shut-Off Solenoid would at least allow you to disconnect power until problem is solved ?

My apologies for not checking this more frequently. I appreciate the help! I ordered a new Fuel Shut-Off Solenoid, which came in the mail today.

You are correct, that was an old harness and the plug was damaged, as were all of them. The new one is not cooked (yet).

Has anyone checked the ignition switch to see if it's faulty?

Originally we did, through I will re-validate, and if needed, replace it.

I have a toggle with the intent of doing just that. However, I am unsure on the wiring to do so, and yes, I know you guys can do this drunk & blind-folded.... but I am terrible with electrics... and honestly, quite gun-shy given my past experience with this tractor.

Please help! Was this issue ever resolved? I have the same issue with my Cabelas LM35H (TYM 353HST) tractor. I went to start it the other day and the starter just kept on wanting to start. Turned the key to off and pulled it out and the tractor kept running. Finally disconnected the battery but the wiring harness burned up. Does anyone know where I can order a wiring harness? I have the part numbers for the two harnesses I need - 1302-668-200-1 & 1302-668-300-1 but I cannot find them anywhere on the internet to order? More concerning, is what will prevent this from happening again. I have a feeling there is a deeper underlying issue as to why it burned up. I have read starter relay? Any help!?

Order your parts from a TYM dealer, they can get your wiring harness for you.

I was able to get the harnesses on order from a TYM Dealer but again I'm reading different forums and hearing the horror stories of burning up multiple harnesses because of an unknown problem. Anyone have any ideas why my harness burned up? I've checked all of the relays (with a dc power supply and multimeter) and they are fine. I've checked the key ignition switch (continuity check with multimeter) and that is fine. Any other suggestions?
