I talked to my wife tonight about your large check deposit situation. She said the financial institution she works at also has limits on the size of the checks you can deposit electronically. However, they are tiered based on your history with that institution. Something like gold, silver, platinum, etc... Usually with a smaller localized institution, you can work something out with the manager if it's going to be a regular thing. If no one will talk to you, you need to find another institution.
I have been with them since High School... but they were regional and very accommodating... hey, I opened a checking account on my own with no adult sigs back then needed.
US Bank bought the outfit and it never has been the same... first thing to go was the nice rate board that greeted you when you walked in... then it was the lobby clock and next they fortified with Plexiglas but a lot of places have that.
US Bank is suppose to be business oriented compared to the regional and I even had a personal banker... never could do a thing for me but was always trying to sell me annuities and such.
Lifetime free checks/checking was also a casualty with US Bank...
One thing that has worked is they have a lot of branches in and around Olympia... so that was convenient and the branches I have visited in Washington are very nice compared to SF Bay Area.
The tellers are all nice enough and known several for many years but now they need my ID to scan even though they ask how mom is and such and even will open a window for me...
Kind of ironic in that when this branch opened with the gala and ribbon cutting it was Mom who cut the ribbon!
Their account to account transfer limit of $2500 makes it basically useless for business and I have a business account.
