Tore out the "long term temporary"[20 yrs+] wall and storage from under the staircase and building a new wall and 3 rolling storage carts to replace them.
Great use for all the pine, oak and cheery boards I have been hoarding for all those years.

Looking at the project list and thinking on which ones I might be able to do with supplies on hand.. I really don't want to go to town.

i have plenty of projects to do, and everything i need to do them except incentive. actually, im sick and tired of the 32F days and snow we've been getting. they promised near 60's last week....didn't happen. promising them again for later this week well see.

once it warms up a tad, ill get to cutting up the fallen trees on my trail system where i can get to. some areas still have 1-1/2 foot of snow and i dont like swinging a chainsaw in loose snow.

my list
1. replace rear deck. 1 month project. too early to start right now
2. repaint rear of house. too cold
3. trim downed trees
4. recharge sprinklers after winter blowiout...still freezing at night
5. dethatch lawns. ground too wet
6. re-seal rear patio. too wet and cold
7. retighten and repair rear 660 feet of fence on property. still under some snow
8. build leanto over whole house generator.....i can possibly start on this one
9. sit on sofa and watch tv......now heres a project that appeals to me

We are doing OK but the virus is here but not in a big way yet. I have been the guardian for 28 years of a now 76 year old man that grew up without hearing and therefore no speech. I went by the nursing home to take him a few things so a staff member met me outside. He was at the door and waved to me. I could see he and others were scared. He has cOPD and sleeps with oxygen so if the virus gets inside it will not be good. The daughter is in college living at home but now does all that online. She is doing a good job with the cats, dogs and her mini horses. The son is still working but he is the only one at the trade school since it is being taught online currently by the diesel instructor. This semester was on truck transmissions so there is about 10 trucks missing transmission and some of them are torn down so it is his job to get them back together so they can drive them out of the shop. The kids are 22 and good to go and are willing to help do what we need help with. I am 69 and 2 years ago we moved our software company to be work from home so that was good timing and I drive the wife to the hospital 5 days a week. At 66 she does well but since breaking her hip in the horse lot fall last summer I have been taking her to work. She either gets off at 4 or midnight so I prefer her not to be out at midnight in deer country should something go wrong. In Feb Nissan did replace the battery in the 2016 Nissan Leaf that we bought last Oct because it failed under warranty and theywhen back with a 33% larger battery (40 kWh) that now gives a solid 150 mile range this kind of weather. The range of the old battery was down to about 60 miles on a full charge. I charge at home so I am not out pumping gas. The daughter drove it for the first time last Friday and came home and put it on the 240v charger by herself should I get down and it is needed.

Yesterday was kind of a break through day for me. After having studied this virus for a month now I am doing all I know to do to keep us from getting it and not sweating the "what if's" any longer. We got food for us and the animals for a while and have have supplements for the next 90+ days. I am thankful for our rural 15 acres 15 miles from the hospital.

Everyone be as safe as possible. My concern is getting the virus and not know it and pass it to the wife and daughter.

I have to say that my wife and I are lucky. We have retirement income, and our kids are a cop and nurse so they are healthy, but busy. We have worked outside on the apple & blueberry farm. Plants are getting close to budding. Best of luck to all.

My sister is now in ICU with CV19.
As far as I know, they were doing all the right things to not get it.
