2017 l3901 Kubota
My Kubota L3901 has been in the shop for almost 8 months now. It was turned in under warranty, and has stayed in shop ever since, was told they got it working yet after it ran for about an hour it wouldn稚 start back up until it cooled down. Long story short I asked dealer to trade or buy me out to get me out of my misfortune... After loosing thousands of dollars, headache after headache, and not being able to use it while still making payments, I really don稚 know what to do. I致e contacted the dealer weekly, and when we talked about trade I got bottom dollared with honestly not much help and offered other tractors but at a price that almost made me faint. I have also emailed Kubota and nothing happened at all. Is there a lemon law for tractors.? What would you do in this situation? The dealer and workers are very nice but something has to give, the dealership can not provide answers and Kubota takes 2 months to give the dealer an answer. Oh and not to mention I had a land pride grader blade weld brake on the main frame and still have not had that warranty issue settled. I know I have had some extreme bad luck but any advice from any of you on what to do.? Any laws to prevent things like this from going on and on? We buy a 30 thousand up to 70 thousand dollar piece of equipment we can not have it in a shop for a whole year, think the Lord that this is not my only income or My family would be up a creek. Please let me know what some of u might do or know someone else has done.

Kubota does not take two months to respond to Technical Service Center inquiries. Get the machine to another dealer.

Somethings way out of whack. As Rick quoted, start making preparations to get it to another dealer.

If you haven’t done so already, get the Kubota regional rep involved. Those guys have more authority in getting issues resolved at the factory level.

I’m floored on how lazy your dealer appears to be. Like others have said, probably time to consider a different one.

Get factory rep involved, get different dealer (more responsive) ask factory to replace under warranty and reimbursement of payments for non functional days or weeks ... Get good lawyer....

Matters like that should be written into warranties. Reasonable length of time and number of times for repairs, or they buy it back. Maybe something worth asking before you put your money on the table.

Not a brand thing. Know people with Mercedes cars who experienced the same thing.

If you feel that comfortable with the dealer let him know the next step Kubota Rep than call...8 months you waited long enough.

Yeah, after 30+ months it was time. And time is what a lot of us have right now. The whole mapdot thing took a while for me, but there it is. I use it on AgTalk as well.

We have had 2 L3301/L3901 no starts boil down to corroded and failed pins and sockets between the wiring harness and ECU. Both repairs required a new ECU and wiring harness. Both VERY low hour tractors and of course warranty picked up the cost. ECUs are programmed and shipped to order. IIRC the lead time was about a week.

I hope the OP has been taking notes and getting dealer/manufacturer responses in writing.
