What dumb thing did you do today?

Dumb? Last week I had a ladder slide out from under me while painting my barn, and dumped a gallon of red siding stain (also fell on my azz, still hurts a week later). I would have had just enough to finish the job, but I lost about 1/2 gallon so there was no way I could finish after that. OK, call the paint store, arrange for curbside pickup and got another gallon.

The next day a different ladder slid sideways along the wall and I dumped that whole new gallon (managed to avoid falling though). Call the paint store and get *two* gallons so I have extra. Finished the job without further incident but that was about $90 in wasted paint, and the ground next to my barn looks like there was a chainsaw massacre. In retrospect I should not carry full gallons with me up on a ladder.

Maybe you wouldn't have these accidents if you weren't wearing your leather (chainsaw massacre) mask. lol

Friend working alone slid off his steel roof sixteen feet above grade and landed on the tracks of his small dozer. Bruised but lucky not to be dead or crippled.

You beat me to it, although I've always used a paper clip.
To the OP, hopefully that's all that it will take to make your toe feel better. Even if it's broken I doubt they will do more than tape it to the next one.

I use a small drill bit.

A suggestion - use the DA connections on the tractor end? (or the next OOPS video might show the rear window exploding when the hoses let loose from the blower)

On the tractor end is the only way I have ever seen them used.

Glad the paint store was still open. Pretty sure they're shut down in my state.

Was backing the tractor into barn to hook up box blade. Sunglasses on, bright sunny day outside, dark in barn. Clipped the edge of the sliding door with the bucket and bent the aluminum side rail. Took it off and monkeyed around for an hour trying to straighten it. Went to sheet metal place next day and bought a replacement.

Yesterday I made comment on wife home made butter biscuits I should have known better. :(
One of the unwritten commandment says Thou shalt not comment negatively on thy wife's food...
you sure...?
Yep, I have pulled away without disconnecting from our Kubota a few times and that has saved things from getting broken.
I see now, The ones I have you have to slide back the sleeve to release......
The ones on the Kubota use the sleeve to mount the quick connect to the tractor, thus when you push the hose in, it slides the center part of the quick connect forwardin relation to the sleeve and when you pull the hose out it slides the center part of the quick connect backwards in relation to the sleeve.

A few years ago my wife fixed dinner, told me it was an experiment that she wasn't sure would be good. Well, it wasn't. After a few bites I told her, "Might want to let the memory fade a bit before trying this one again." She agreed and we went out for dinner.

That is the only meal I can remember her making that wasn't good.

It happens some times. But hey, a gal has to try something new from time to time to learn anything. I can remember a few of the wife's dinner failures, but for the most part she is a very good cook.

I was backing the tractor into its parking spot in the garage, looking back over my shoulder, not easy with arthritis in my neck, I heard a crunch.... shattered the trim piece around the door with the edge of the bucket.
