Here is a log I can not lift at all. Approx 2 ton redwood, green. I was not even able to lift one end, or even drag it. So I pushed it and cut it in half. It is 16.5' long and over 30" in diameter.

That is some impressive wood you have there. Looks bigger than 30 inches. Post more pictures if you can please. :thumbsup:

It is a bit over 30". I plan to mill with the Husky I showed a few posts back: 2100CD with new 52" bar. I will post it. Gotta do some cedar first: 25" logs with 2100CD/36" bar. Too bad it won't fit in my small bandsaw mill (21" limit).

These photos are from a 30" deodar cedar that I just cut. Even the pieces still need the tractor to lift them.

Why is that? seems lately my pictures are hard to post or they go into attach thumbdail that I cant see til post is posted and people in SC have already responded about some pool water somewhere.

I don't know, As Far As I Know something changed here.. I go to post a pic like I always have, it sits there loading for a bit and then just disappears. Pool water here in SC is doing fine, almost ready to jump into. Great place to self quarantine!

No one burns redwood, AFAIK. I will slab it out with a chainsaw mill. I sell it to woodworkers, or make things on commission. I also know a fence/deck contractor who mills it here and uses it for jobs.

Coulda used Rob's dozer to move it. Huge new load-loader truck has been here, loading up the firs to be dumped. I give douglas fir away, but even then, it's a hard sell.

Yeah, I have no dealings with redwood other than they used to sell redwood siding years ago but have not seen that in years!

After today's rain you shouldn't have any problem finding pools.

I got 1.65 inches yesterday… YAY!! My fields needed it!

10-4 on futile effort on firewood speed, but since I'm the only one here thats in the dark about them front tires, I'll ask, what's with them front tires in first picture? I dont recognize them.

They are round rubber things that keep his hubs from scraping on the ground!

I like your bench! I've got a couple oak slabs I'm getting ready to do that with.

That is a nice log. I wish we had some like that on the East Coast

Awesome road build, let me know when you get close to me so you can continue on my end of this major road construction, bring extra fill with you, lots of extra fill. I'll hold the road under construction sign til I get tired.

A few years back, I had the miniature version of that rig. :laughing:

No blade on the crawler at the time of the picture but I built one for it later.
