Good morning!!!!

39 degrees early this morning and going for a partly sunny high of 52.

Well . . . I like to learn something new occasionally . . . so Saturday I placed an online grocery order for the first time to the nearest Walmart. I knew it wasn't going to be ready until today (Tuesday) between 8 and 9 a.m., but I didn't need any of it before today. So installed the Walmart app on my cell phone, and all went well . . . . until today. I was surprised to get a message this morning about 7:45 a.m. that my order was ready, but that was good; I was ready to go. And for the first time, this morning's message mentioned something not being available and a substitution. So I got there before 8 a.m. and "checked in" on my cell phone. They were busy, but a young man brought my order out and put it in the car pretty quickly. Of course I didn't look at it until I got home. They substituted all right; gave me a sweet potato pie in place of the peach cobbler I ordered. Now I like sweet potato pie, so not a big deal. However . . . the thing I really wanted, and the primary reason for placing an order, was some buns, 6 to a package and I wanted 3 packages for use with my cheddar/jalapeno beef sausages. Did not get any at all.

My wife would buy French Bread that need to be baked from the dairy department. Cut it into slices before baking. Made good rolls and buns. Walmart also has their own brand.

Some pics of the Easter snow. Hopefully it will melt off quickly this week. Temps are dropping into low twenties at night for the next few nights.

A breezy, mixed sun and clouds 37ºF for today’s low temperature, a breezy and mostly sunny 42ºF, and I anticipate a mostly sunny afternoon with reducing wind and temperatures approaching 50ºF. A beautiful day shaping up.

Yesterday’s weather event “under-performed” which is ok with me, but the +1” of rain will keep things wet around for a long time.

Our closest Chinese restaurant is still open for curbside takeout. They have a decent on-line menu and ordering process = We had Chinese takeout last night. I took the opportunity to gas up Wifey’s Subaru. Unleaded (ethanol laced ) was <$2.00/G. I need to take Brogen to the vet for his annual physical = I’ll fill up the Tundra.

Ted- I find that snow does a decent job on cleaning the NH; the heavier the better. ;) Thanks for sharing your snow pics. I like snow this time of year- anything that can suppress tick activity is appreciated; does not help suppressing the Blackflies.

Mike- Some water feature

Roy- I am happy to read that you are feeling better.

Buppie- You bench looks to be heavy duty; nice job.

Phil- Thanks for sharing your beautiful scenery. I/We plant on the same schedule as you. The ground around here is saturated; my subsurface springs were surface flowing during this AM’s dog slog.

Thomas and Billy- I have not seen any evidence of bear activity around here which is highly unusual.

RonJH- I really like your pond. I too liked my tele-health check last week.

Paul- It’s great that you were able to re-cycle your swing set for re-use as designed.

It appears that so far we are all managing this C-19 challenge. I hope we can continue managing the challenges presented.

M + thoughts, wishes, and prayers.

Great! I need a new chainsaw.
Have any of you used the battery powered chainsaws?

Yep!
I have a EGO battery powered saw...had it for 2-3 years now. I use it mostly for limbing, smaller tress (6" or less trunk) and triming low hanging branches before mowing season.
I really like it...the 5 Amp battery is pretty long lasting...better to have two batteries though.
I wouldn't use this saw for dropping trees regularly...but for typical residential use, it's quite handy.
Plus, you don't have to worry about gasoline or mixing gas and oil for a two stroke. You also don't have worry about the carb getting gunked up over the winter.
My trimmer is also an EGO brand, by the way...very happy with that after 4 years of use.

I have a HF Lynxx 14” chainsaw. Works good. Also have their pole saw. Like how it works also.

Agree on the Lynxx 40 volt tools. We have chainsaw, pole saw, blower.

68°F and 1.38 inches rain. Still clouded over, more rain forecast. Probably no mowing today.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

I have the EGO 14" and really like it. I can't pull start a gas saw any more and they are too heavy. The EGO is pricey but we have their mower, blower and weed eater so only had to buy the bare tool which helped.
