Extra fees for financing added to the quoted price

I just got $400CAD tacked on to my quoted price, it was presented as a "loan registration fee". Sounds like a dealer mark-up to me, but I wanted to see how widespread this practice is.

I've seen this kind of thing and its dealer making more money. Just say no and walk

I don't know about that one, But I would tell they to take 400.00 off the price of the tractor, They are like car dealers always tacking fee's on.........

Couple that always puzzle me...
Dealer prep...wash the outside clean the inside,older days they wash and clean put hub caps on install spare tire maybe screw antenna on etc.
Destination charge...good chance the vehicle already setting on the lot.

I refuse to accept those bogus charges!
I run...don't walk....to look for another seller/dealer!

Yeah PDI prep and delivery is included AFAIK(waiting for the actual breakdown). They basically said this was a lender fee, which they have no control over. I have seen that used as an excuse at car dealerships, hence my current investigation.

Its funny how that works you spend hours getting the best price and agree on it , Then the dealer adds more fee's to the price... My buddy bought a car and they tried to add more fee's and he just started walking out they waved the fee's .... I always ask for a out the door price that includes everything fee's etc....

Wife and I walked on a Mazda dealer when buying a car for my daughter because of these ridiculous fees. They yelled at us while we were walking out. :laughing:
Then they called us when we were 10 minutes down the road and begged us to come back saying theyd wave the fees.

That's what I say ,Hey I didn't walk here buddy and there are 100's of car dealers.....

There is a good chance it did not get teleported there. The further it is trucked from the distribution point to the dealership, the more the dealer pays. Those costs do not evaporate when the tractor sits on the lot.
