So I'm looking at getting my first tractor, looked at NH, Yanmar, Kubota, Deere, and LS so far, will be looking at Kioti in the next few days. The price I got on an LS 4150 Hydro was $26000 for tractor and $6000 for backhoe and $850 to add 3rd function. He wants $300 to load rear tires. Was wondering if anyone bought one recently and if that is a good number. That is forgoing the 0% Apr of course. I haven't drove it yet but out of all the other so far the Yanmar is leading but the price tag on that is a lot more. It was a YT347 and price is $42394 forgoing the APR where as the the LS comes in at $32000. No third function on the Yanmar but does include loaded rear tires. Any thought or feedback would be appreciated, seems like a huge price difference to me.

I’m sorry, but without paragraph breaks for change of topic, I just can’t comprehend what you are asking.

Sorry if it seems rambling. Just wondering if the quoted price on the LS 4150 is good price at $32k with for backhoe and 3rd function.

I went through the process last year. I went with LS for price and features.

I am a hobby/homestead user so not planning on a lot of hours per year. 100-125

If I was planning on 400 hrs/yr, I might have gone with the Kubota, but I could not justify it.

Thank you for the input. Going to be used primarily at my cabin that has 300 acres. Trail mowing, food plot mowing, road maintenance, and help enlarging food plots. So a lot of chores I want to do but that being said its at my cabin and more of a long weekend thing. Appreciate the feedback!

BTW, the other reason I went with LS was the dealer. I wanted good support and the LS dealer was heads and shoulders above all the others. My dealer also offered free pickup and delivery for the life of the warranty so I do not need to trailer it for service.

LS only charges $4000 for a cab. That was a huge difference...$8000 for Kubota. A cab is great. I can work without being bothered by bugs or dust and I use my machine for snow removal. If a grapple is in your future have the 3rd function added. $950 but it works very well. I also use it for the tree/post puller. If you work in cold weather, do not get the block heater. I was going to add it but the dealer talked me out of it. I live in northern MI and have had no issues starting.

This will be my last tractor (turning 70 this year) so I got everything I wanted. I only have 80 hrs on it but no regrets so far. It does not have the sophistication of the higher end Kubota but I saved over $10k. Not chump change.

BTW, my cost with oversize turf tires, loaded with RimGuard, cab, FEL, radio, and 3rd function was $31k. If you are not working on snow/ice, you can save $400 by getting the regular tires.

Yeah, I looked at a bunch of brands, yanmar was the nicest in my opinion but there is at least a $10000 difference and I believe the lift capability of the FEL is still lower than the LS. At this point I am between the LS and a Kioti NX4150. Kioti is still a decent amount more but this is without me attempting any negotiation. I personally like the Kioti better but it is like a $5k difference but there are a few more niceties on the kioti, just not sure $5k worth. I'll be getting a grapple bucket, backhoe, mower, and box blade as well. Tractor to tractor there is a $5k difference with just taking the tractor and backhoe price. Lots of research and decisions to make. BTW the cabs are great but my 300 acres is majority wooded and I know I'd have that cab busted up. I drove one with a cab today and the heat was nice on a 32 degree day LOL!Thanks again for the input!

There are so many really nice machines out there. I havent considered a LS really because there are no “real” dealers anywhere near me. I tried driving to 2 different dealers (45 min and an hour) each away just to find out they only carry a couple of the baby tractors and nothing substantial.. But theyll order me one! Lol.. Im not willing to buy something I can’t see, touch, feel. I also really liked the Yanmar but they were the most expensive of all the machines I looked at

Would hands down get the 3rd function. Ive been clearing land for 3 years and the 3rd function grapple is the primary used tool. Also, highly recommend getting a tree and post puller as someone else mentioned. The one from Titan (palletforks.com) looks kind of flimsy on thier site but is extremely well built. I’ve had 2 of them. They are one of the best attachments you can buy for $800. Just wait for a sale or call and ask for a coupon code. Ive had 2 of them now. First one i had sitting next to my skid steer when i sold it and the guy couldnt live without it. So i bought another one. No regrets.. a grapple bucked is 100% worth every penny just make sure you get one that matches your machine size. These will eat up a lot of your lift capacity so dont go buy one that weights 1000lbs and is built for a skid steer.

Ive personally owned 3 Kubotas in the 30-40 hp range and 2 Kiotis (CK3510HST and CK4010SE). My biggest word of advice is dont let price alone sell you on something. I did that with both the Kiotis. I really needed the next frame size tractor but i bought the smaller ones to save money. If you are buying a backhoe and everything else DONT skimp on size to save money. The worst feeling in the world is being so excited to see your fancy new tractor being delivered and then being disappointed in its performance. Made me sick to my stomach.

Thanks for the words of wisdom! The Kioti I'm looking at is the NX5010 without a cab because of the fact I'll be running it in the woods a lot, the LS is a xr4150. I drove and played around with the Kioti but not the LS. IMHO the Kioti fit and finishes are nicer but I am not discounting the LS until I drive it.

The LS dealer is 10 minutes away and Kioti is about 40 minutes. The Kioti dealer is a much larger dealership overall with a huge inventory of implements and the LS dealer is a little smaller with less immediate availability of attachments and implements. Both seemed very knowledgeable and personable and have both been established for a long time. I think the 2 machines as far as capability will both be the same. The Kioti is killing me with being over $5k more though, I have to really dig into this to see if there are features I am missing that the other doesn't have.

I will be getting the grapple and the 3rd function as I am thinking of a ton of stuff I could use that grapple for. The grapple I was looking at is made by Titan Implements (American made not the Chinese Titan company) and it appears to be nice, I see a lot of people on here talking about the Everything Attachments Wicked grapple so I will have to take a closer look at that one as well.

Thanks again for the input!

EA is a phenomenal company. They thoroughly test, or destroy, all of their products before they sell them and post the videos as proof. Ted, Peanut, and Travis (often answers the phone) are all phenomenal. The Wicked grapples are hard to be beat. They aren’t cheap but are probably by far the best money can buy as is pretty much any of their EA implements. Not cheap but all overbuilt and they stand behind their stuff.

I don’t know anything really about the LS since I couldn’t find a dealer to see them, i didn’t spend a whole lot of time researching them. I have seen, stat on, and operated a Kioti NX though and they are premium grade tractors. They have all the features Kioti offers. If they had a HST+ transmission like the new Kubota I ordered has, I would own one in a second. With all that said the extra features come at a premium. You can probably buy a 70hp RX series Kioti for the same price or cheaper than the NX... Reason... Features.

I would have bought a RX7320 last fall but i couldn’t fit it in my garage. Even with the ROPS folded it wouldn’t fit through a 7’ door. The property we live on is an investment property and I don’t have a machine shed. None of my equipment ever sits outside so I did’t buy it. The NX is a direct competitor to Kubota’s Grand L series. The RX compared to a Kubota M7060.
