Ah - I see your point. I have a one track mind and I've been splitting, not in the muddy woods cutting so I was thinking along the lines of blocking and spitting.

Why do you need a car wash building. Some guys just stand back and use a fire hose :D

 I was thinking outside the box again, but I think I have enough firewood out anyways, so for the next few weeks I'll be doing some road building, sure is hard making a road out of mud though.

I have never seen chainsaw sharpeners like those, they look high end.

I don't think Silvey even makes grinders any longer...

And YES, they are/were expensive.

Jack retired a few years ago they had some very good customer service. They weren’t horrible at the time when new we use to buy them direct when at the Oregon Logging Show from memory the pro sharp at the time was 1200 or 1500 the round was 300 or so.

It’s a little saw in the PNW falling saws category.

Have you ever heard of Five Star Tree Farms before?

Well there are redwoods, and then there are Redwoods. This one is 361' tall, in Humboldt County, CA. Photo from last fall.

Seeing the big ones should be on everyone's bucket list. When first discovered, folks back East thought the stories of such trees were "tall tales".

So true dfkrug!

I have to agree with that. My daughter moved out to Marblemount, WA in 93. Our first time out west for a visit we were totally awe stricken by the trees. And every trip out since then it is the same thing over again.

Gordon, we do have nice forest around here . . . :drink:

I guess I'm either too old, or just too weak for one that size!( and I've had both my shoulders worked on). I've a MS362 59cc, it came with a 24" bar and that's a bit big for me, just bought a new bar and chain yesterday, got a 20 incher and don't really want a bigger one.

Hunt I have a MS311 with the 24" bar and when my back was decent was sort of OK  now no way . . . I do have a 20" bar for it.
