Extra fees for financing added to the quoted price

There is no additional fee for Kubota's 0% financing.
When we bought our Kubota, my Kubota explained why it made no difference in the price whether he was paid in cash or with Kubota's 0% financing.

Not now, there is a $147.42 fee for financing. I just got a quote on a cab tractor and that is a line item.

Those pure profit add-ons are exactly the reason for this thread. If you asked for it to be removed, I'll bet your dealer said he couldn't.

Actually that is in line with what AgDirect charges (max $150). The lender, not your dealer, is the likely beneficiary of this fee. The only way the dealer can make it "go away" is if he cut into his profit margin.

150 bucks for zero percent financing? That's cheap money. Any day.

Who gives a darn about the fees? All that matters is the bottom line. If you don't want to spend more than say $50,000, does it matter if it's 49,000 tractor, 500 delivery and 500 admin, 50000 tractor, 0 delivery, 0 admin, 10000 tractor, 10000 delivery, 30000 admin?

Deal on the bottom line out the door, not the price of the tractor!

I've got all the fees on the final doc and said bottom line must be XXXX, I don't care how the numbers are as long as I don't pay more than XXXX.

That is all well, and good, but often dealers are trying to play a rather different game.
Maybe their game won't work on you, but it OFTEN does work on others.
I suspect you may respond that you don't care about what others do, or don't do.

Boy, some will walk out on a tractor they wanted over $150.00? I don’t get that thought process.

Here's something else to crank through that thought process....Not only will some walk out, but I bet they are the ones to whom $150.00 doesn't make a bit of difference.
What's that tell you?

Principles get in the way sometimes.
