I need a box blade for a MF GC1720. Just a home owner so don’t need the best one out there. Saw this one on Facebook not to far from me. Does it seem like a good deal? Adjustments.JPG

That is a decent box blade. There are others out there that are less in cost, but you may sacrifice a bit of quality.

FWIW...
I pull a Bush Hog brand CBX 60 box blade with a B1700...it's a little on the light side but can pull it full up a grade with zero problems...there are a few tricks and techniques for using smaller/lighter blades that can make up for less weight...You could easily pull a 72" blade in the CBX series with your tractor...

would needto no how much it weighs. but for a 5 ft blade that high. i pai 675 for my 6 ft and it works great on my mile long road.

So Rhino is a good (quality) implement... I'm assuming that is the price "New" (which you could still do better on), if that is used I don't think it a good deal... new maybe ok.... It looks like the Rhino CBX60 only weights 280lbs so that shouldn't be an issue

My only other caution is if I read your tractor specs right it is 57.1" wide so a 60" blade barely covers your tires track.... depending on a couple of things you way want to look wider... not sure the width of your driveway / roads you will maintain or the pitch, or crown but I have a 72" box blade on our 40 HP machine which is 68+" wide & I wish I had gone wider. The reason is in many areas where I have either drainage or culverts I can not get the box blade as close to the edge of the culverts as I need to (especially when I add some pitch to the blade).... just food for thought... you may want something a little wider

Also it is a box blade so you may want to look for a used one... no movable parts & not a lot of wearable parts so it is pretty easy to spot an abused one...

You do not have a location listed in your profile.
If you did, it likely would be possible to recommend other (more cost effective) choices local to you.

I'm guessing Albany NY by his user name & other post....

I don't always like recommending brands but you may want to look at EA (Everything Attachments) they have a XTreme Duty Compact Tractor Box Blade in 66" (which get good reviews... I don't own one / but own other EA equip).... It might be a good fit (for around the same price)... more weight but that is not always a bad thing...

More weight is ALWAYS a GOOD thing for a box blade.

Looks like a decent deal to me. It may be a little on the high side. But that all depends on what you make of it. If its from a dealer, they don't work for free. And you want a reliable business around when you absolutely need one. If its from an individual, you may can haggle them down. Does it fit the bill for your "needs" or does it fit your "wants"? Either way it can most likely be resold without many problems. Like my wife says.." ain't no lesson like a bought lesson!"
