I concur, how long and wide will it cut? How much longer is the boss on furlough and has she been instructed on the dangers of dropping wood on her toes? I've heard of people doing that before, just cant remember where.............

It will cut anything you want off a 4x8 sheet, Length wise it would cut 100 feet long I guess if you had feed and takeoff room. I think it will actually cut 52 inches up and down.. I'll have to look.

I don't have her cut anything that big, and I keep a pretty close eye on her, so she doesn't end up like me!!

Right now May 1st is her return to work date.

And this is the only time I get to be boss!!! :cool2:

I wouldn稚 say I知 not a fan my hands aren稚 a fan they don稚 like vibrations, the last one I ran was a 441 with a cannon 32 on it and the springs made it look like a wet noodle. What are your hands worth at the end of the day I致e ran Dolmar, Echo, Husky, and Stihl for my application I致e always liked husky saws one for the price. Two for the filtration I don稚 have to go buy more stuff to keep from toasting a new saw and three the vibration damping is huge for me at the end of the day no one wants a shook beer or a spilled beer.
You must be glad your not in the 60s and 70s, I ran a mid 70s McCulloch chainsaw back then for 15 minutes, it was practically brand new but my hands was tingling for 5 minutes afterwords, the guy wanted to sell it to me but I already had my first new Husqvarna, L65, so I said nah.

I think anti-vibe has come along way since then on all saws, maybe Husqvarna is the leader on that, either way it is very important and another reason why I like mechanical wood harvesting, I'm a big fan of make the machine do the work.

The other day, I cut this load of firewood,

standard.jpg

And, as today was another very nice day weather wise, it was the day to get it all split, and put right into my half cord boxes. There was quite a few pieces this size,

standard.jpg

And, that's a really nice size when you have a 4-way wedge, not too heavy, and two times through, and the box starts filling fast!

Anyway, there was five boxes total, so 2-1/2 cords on that trailer,

Now it's time to cut another load!

I’ve ran an 090 that’s enough vibration for me and more then enough weight for what it is. It’s always seemed like Husky has lead the way with operator comfort first, now that I think about it most of that area is about operator comfort first such as Rottne when I demoed one there was a lot of creature comforts I really preferred but the machine wasn’t large enough for what we do.

I put the tape across the screen and from where I sit didn't look like two cord to me on that trailer, as in 20' x 4' x 4', was there med-western measuring going on...............

The trailer is 20' long, and 84" wide, and there were a few bigger blocks, already rolled off and split, before that pict. was taken...
