Harbor Freight Tools that don't suck

Kind of like the 1600 buck roof on my Kubota M9000. Took it off to clean the evap coil for the ac and all the spots where the inserts were that secure it were cracked. Being the cheap person I am, I fiberglassed all of them with resin and glass mat. No way am I buying a 1600 buck roof.

In all honesty I haven't read through 1321 pages to see. Just curious if anyone has considered swearing off HF because of the China factor after these trying times.
The convenience of a local HF store is nice along with low buck prices if it's not an everyday go to tool I need. But with some of the reports I've seen about China's role in our current health crisis I'll be thinking twice now when in need of a tool.
Just curious about the opinions of other forum users and what you're considering as far as purchasing from HF. Not really trying to ignite a political firestorm here and not really interested in long winded explanations of global economics.

So are you worried about covid 19 on the stuff, or just a bit anti china with the way they've done things?

Sort of reminds me of the Kubota Kioti lawsuit. Kubota got miffed over the orange color. Not sure where that one went either. Koubta has a unique paint scheme, only orange tractor that fades to Mary Kay pink.....

I think you are confusing Kubota with Mahindra. Mahindra RED fades to pink and rather quickly. I have seen old Kubota tractors that sat in the elements for years and they are still ORANGE (except for the rust spots).

I always do my best to buy US especially with tools. But if it is something I will only use occasionally or the cheap China made fits my needs that is what I buy. It is just the world we live in.

Yep. The only plastic on my Mahindra was was between the steering column and the floor board which had no real function other than looks. My Kubota has the plastic roof, a piece under the grill that really seems cheap and the interior is all plastic.

While not really relevant to the HF thread, most all the parts that are plastic on my M's have been fine since new (2002 and 2004) and while I've only looked at a Mahindra sitting somewhere, they appear to me to be pretty cobbly units., not refined at all. Plastic components are standard on everything today (look at your car).
