Jensen said in the video: "Hospital administrators might well want to see COVID-19 attached to a discharge summary or a death certificate. Why? Because if it's a straight-forward, garden-variety pneumonia that a person is admitted to the hospital for if they're Medicare typically the diagnosis-related group lump sum payment would be $5,000. But if it's COVID-19 pneumonia, then it's $13,000 and if that COVID-19 pneumonia patient ends up on a ventilator it goes up to $39,000."

Fact check: Medicare pays hospitals more money for COVID-19 patients

^^ That's been coming to light recently. Personally, I hope some hospitals face a reckoning in the form of audits, funds reclamations and fraud prosecutions.

Meanwhile, 'the models' called for an inch to an inch and a half of rain yesterday. I got barely a quarter of an inch. This is why numbers models cannot be trusted, yet people continue to quote them as absolutes.

Maybe if the rapidly increasing numbers of hospitals closing and laying off staff were allowed to reopen for non-Covid medical care, the need for the hospitals to screw the medial reimbursement system (Hospitals declaring all deaths are Covid) would decrease???
I mean just keep following the money trail, right?

I agree. No reason that I can think of to have a hospital closed at this time.

Was out in the shed working on something to pass the time. Put something in place but needed a mallet to drive it home. Said to myself (yeah, I do that a lot), 'I need to malletize this ...'
