And they have every right, when many (myself included) hijack their thread, and go so far off-topic with self-righteous gun talk "just shoot the dog to he!! with the neighbor's input' when they CLEARLY STATED THEY WANT TO INTERACT WITH THE NEIGHBORS FIRST!

I have my own situation here, and am following due to my common interest, but have tried to be 'middle of the road' in the whole thing... my hope is that the OP comes to a mutually agreeable solution in their situation. Tough place to be.

Well said! I was trying to reply but anything I think of would have been far less diplomatic. I can't understand why people get offended when somebody doesn't want to run for a gun as their first solution.

And I can't understand why anyone would think anyone would "run for a gun as their first solution".

My guess is just trying to start something.

No story Sig, just a suggestion. I, for one am not that stupid. I'd cap the cur with a 22-250

The OP has mentioned the possiblilty of a gun in his first post, but from what I read, that would be last resort and he's looking for alternative solutions.

For that reason alone, he is a better man than you.

Had to kill something yesterday with the shotgun. Take no pride in it and actually feel pretty bad about it but it HAD to be done for the sake of the animal.

That would be my first solution to an animal that is attacking (or has attacked) the livestock. Otherwise, it's not my first choice.

Maybe, maybe not. I do know one thing for sure, Sig's are plastic junk. Get a real gun, Get a Colt National Match.

Nice weapon selection! My 500..

Mine is the one with the long tube and the bipod rail underneath and the external muzzle brake, not ported. 500 is a bit much for me. 460 is just fine. Irregardless, an X frame is an X frame. I used to prefer my Model 29 44RM but since I've gotten the 460, the 44 has taken a backseat. Taken a lot of Michigan deer with the 44 and now the 460

Don't do plastic (polymer) guns at all.

Seems overgunned, unless it was 400 yards out

I'm thinking that would be the last solution.. depending on the situation of course.

Had this one too, also a 500, nice and accurate but too much to carry so I sold it to help fund my Scar. And I love my Glock!

And I still like my Redhawk in 44m

Carry it when hunting in a ballistic nylon cross draw chest holster over my camo. Very easy carry, quick access. I always wear Walkers Game Ears when discharging it. Stupid loud.

I never post pictures of any of my firearms on a public forum. You never know who is looking. Besides, I lost them all in a boating accident this spring.
