Cool!!! Where did you get a gun that would shoot a 2x4 at a barrel with enough power to bore a hole right through it??? I want one!:laughing:

They are pretty heavy, and not really suitable for hunting...although they are quite effective, and will shoot all manner of 2X4's and even rocks and small animals.

Mine is the one with the long tube and the bipod rail underneath and the external muzzle brake, not ported. 500 is a bit much for me. 460 is just fine. Irregardless, an X frame is an X frame. I used to prefer my Model 29 44RM but since I've gotten the 460, the 44 has taken a backseat. Taken a lot of Michigan deer with the 44 and now the 460

Don't do plastic (polymer) guns at all.

Have a coworker who had an experience like that video a couple months back. A tornado came through and sent a 4x4 from the neighbor's fence through his (brick) wall. Fortunately due to some other unusual circumstances he wasn't there. Otherwise (according to him) he'd have been in the room where the fence post came flying in....

Carry it when hunting in a ballistic nylon cross draw chest holster over my camo. Very easy carry, quick access. I always wear Walkers Game Ears when discharging it. Stupid loud.

I never post pictures of any of my firearms on a public forum. You never know who is looking. Besides, I lost them all in a boating accident this spring.:laughing:

I had a cross draw chest holster as well, what a pain.. if you start walking and get hot you have to undo it to loosen your jacket... yada yada yada..

I can carry my 6 1/2" 500 on my belt with a dual side hip holster, normally in the cross draw position. OR.. I had a custom vertical shoulder holster made for it, the holster is open in the front, spring loaded so I can pull it straight out the front and don't have to "draw" it.

I just sold all mine... No regulations on me tracking who I sold them to if done face to face within the state

My meeting with the neighbor was delayed. And I stopped reading about page 30 as several posters kept turning it into a gun thread.

My situation is I am meeting the neighbor soon, possibly today. I will post when I have an update.

Those 2x4 whistling thu the regular walls like they were made out of marshmallow creme. Thats "interesting" if a little scary.

We may as well talk about something while we are waiting for news from the OP. Guns are always a great and interesting topic. Even 2x4 guns !
